The first pastoral visit of HG Bishop Rewis to Tasmania.

Today marks a blessed moment as His Grace made his first pastoral visit to Tasmania. The day was filled with prayer and joy, beginning with the celebration of the Holy Liturgy, where the faithful gathered in thanksgiving and reverence.

We were especially blessed to witness the ordination of new deacons, a powerful reminder of God’s continuing work in His Church and a moment of great joy for the entire community.

Following the service, His Grace spent time meeting with the congregation, sharing words of encouragement, listening with care, and strengthening the bonds of faith and fellowship.

May this visit bear much spiritual fruit, and may God continue to guide and bless His Grace, the newly ordained deacons, and all the faithful in Tasmania. ✝️

We are blessed to welcome His Grace Bishop Rewis, Ceneral Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Melbourne, and Region of East Asia, to St Mary Coptic Orthodox Church - Tasmania this weekend! Join us for a wonderful time of fellowship, worship, and spiritual enrichment. The weekend includes Divine Liturgy, breakfast, a congregation meeting with Bible study, and a special outing on the water. Everyone is warmly invited to come and receive the Bishop's blessings. We look forward to celebrating this special visit together as a church family!

The Holy Easter liturgy we celebrated together at St Mary's Coptic Orthodx Church Hobart
From the beautiful hymns and heartfelt prayers to the joyful message of Resurrection, it was a powerful reminder of the hope we have in Christ.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the service so special. Special thanks to Fr Suriel and Tasoni. It is a blessing to get together and rejoice in the promise of new life through the Risen Christ.
