Premiering Friday the 10th of July πŸ”₯πŸ™ So excited to have special guest Rachael Wilcox joining us!

Rachael is a Tasmanian who spent 3 years ministering with Awakening Europe in Germany before being sent to Ukraine for 2 years as a missionary. She served as City Director for Million Month Kyiv, leading teams of believers across the city to boldly share the Gospel on the streets, in the midst of a warzone. She'll share stories from her time in Ukraine and her passion for evangelism.

After the documentary and Rachael's presentation, there will be an opportunity to put faith into action. We'll head out in teams to share the Gospel together in our city.

This is not an event by one local Church, it's an invitation to every Christian across Hobart who has a heart to see our city reached with the Gospel.

The Church gathered to worship in the heart of Australia's largest pagan festival non-stop for 90 hours πŸ”₯

All around us were rituals, burnings, occult-themed art installations by local witches, and the Pagan Ogoh-Ogoh parade carrying the fears and darkness of the city through the streets.

Believers from across Hobart put aside denominational differences and united in continuous prayer, worship, and evangelism from Thursday-Sunday, 24 hours a day.

Moments like these remind us that the Church was never called to retreat. We were called to shine.

As worship filled the pavilion, crowds walked past. Many stopped and looked through the windows. Some came inside and lingered. Others encountered our outreach teams on the streets, received prayer, heard the Gospel, and made decisions to follow Jesus.

Over the two weeks of Light Up Hobart outreach gatherings, more than 50 people on the streets of Hobart prayed to receive Christ.

This is what happens when the Church takes the basket off the lamp and lets its light shine.

This is what happens when believers step outside the four walls and into the heart of their city.

The Church will not be silent.

This is only the beginning.

It's time to Light Up Hobart. ✨

Tonight is the final night of Light Up Hobart! πŸ”₯

After 72+ hours of continuous prayer, worship, and outreach, we're gathering one last time to lift high the name of Jesus in the heart of our city.

Join us from 5pm at the Hobart Waterfront Pavilion as churches from across Hobart come together in unity to worship, pray, and believe for more.

Over the past four days we've seen salvations, powerful moments of prayer, worship rising day and night, and countless conversations with people who have been drawn in to see what God is doing.

Let's finish strong.

Bring your family, bring your friends, and come be part of this final night as we continue to shine the light of Christ in the middle of the darkness.

See you at 5pm! πŸ™Œ

Thank you to Velocity Church Hobart for leading us in such a powerful night of worship for night 3 of 24 hour worship. This video features some of the scenes of the night πŸ”₯

In the heart of Hobart's darkest winter festival, the Church came together as one to lift high the name of Jesus.

Worship filled the pavilion and spilled out onto the streets as believers from different churches and denominations united with one purpose, to glorify Christ and pray for our city.

Outside, outreach teams were sharing the Gospel, praying for people, and having meaningful conversations. We celebrated salvations, countless opportunities to minister to others, and many people who stopped to listen as worship echoed across the waterfront.

This is what happens when the Church unites.

Jesus is being lifted high in Hobart, and we're believing this is only the beginning. ❀️

One of our favourite parts of Light Up Hobart has been the Kids Corner. 🎨✨

Throughout the weekend, children have been stopping by to colour in, create masterpieces, and leave their mark on the pavilion.

We've loved pe***ng up their artwork and watching the walls come to life with colour, creativity, and joy. Every drawing tells a story of a family who stopped in, took a moment to connect, and became part of what God is doing in the heart of our city.

A big thank you to all the little artists who helped make the space feel so welcoming and alive. We think your artwork deserves its own gallery! ❀️

While Hobart sleeps, the Church is praying.

For the past 55+ hours, Christians have faithfully filled the Hobart Waterfront Pavilion, praying and interceding for our city around the clock. While most of Hobart sleeps, worship and prayer have continued through every hour of the night.

There are now less than 22 hours left of Light Up Hobart.

Maybe God has been stirring something in your heart to come along for one of these early morning prayer slots. Even if it's only for 30 minutes or an hour, we encourage you to come and join us.

These quiet in between moments are just as important and powerful as the united worship nights and corporate prayer meetings.

Every prayer matters. Every voice matters.

As Jesus said, "Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." (Matthew 18:20)

Let's finish strong. Let's continue to unite, pray, and light up Hobart together.

Watch what God will do in our city. πŸ”₯πŸ™

A city united in worship.

As believers gathered for Night 2 of Light Up Hobart, the sound of praise filled the Pavilion as people from across our city came together to seek God. What a powerful reminder that when the Church stands as one, Jesus is glorified.

But this is only the beginning. ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Join us again tonight for what will be our biggest night of Light Up Hobart yet, as Velocity Church Hobart leads us in worship and we lift up the name of Jesus over our city.

Come expectant. Come hungry. Come ready to worship.

And before worship begins, join us from 6PM at St David's Cathedral for free pancakes, coffee, prayer, and connection as we gather together in the heart of the city. πŸ₯žβ˜•πŸ™

πŸ”₯ Worship begins at 7PM | Hobart Pavilion
