is at Moore Theological College 😁 Thanks Erin and staff for being so helpful and welcoming, from way back in 2022 when Bernice and MK spent a week scanning research material, to sending us these more recent pictures of 'Reach Out, Build Up, Send Back' after it had been catalogued and displayed.

We congratulate Dr Joshua Sim on the publication of his paper: Shaping 'Reach Out, Build Up, Send Back’ which draws on work done by the ocf heritage project and the book . https://brill.com/view/journals/ssm/37/1-2/article-p85_5.xml

His paper is about about how OCF played a role in encouraging a returnee mission mindset among its members during its early years. This role was deeply connected to the broader historical context of Australia’s Colombo Plan Scheme and view of Asia.

(Dr Sim was in OCF Perth from 2006 to 2010 and is the Lead Archivist in The OCF Heritage Project.)

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of giving a copy of "Reach Out, Build Up, Send Back" (ROBUSB) to Rev. Tim Patrick, principal of the Bible College SA (BCSA), along with a thank you card. This was to acknowledge the college's decades-long support of OCF Australia.

BCSA, originally founded as Adelaide Bible Institute (ABI) in 1924, has a rich history. Tim gave us a copy of their centenary book, and we realised that ABI's first principal, Rev. Allan Burrows, spoke at the first OCF Australia convention in December 1959 in Adelaide. In 1983, Rev. Geoffrey Bingham, another BCSA principal, spoke at the Adelaide convention, and more recently, Rev. Tim Patrick spoke at the 2012 convention in Perth.

Reflecting on the providence of God and our shared history was incredibly encouraging.
