A Day of Double Blessings! 🇦🇺🇮🇳🕊️
On August 15th, our parish family came together to celebrate the Feast of Mother Mary with a beautiful Solemn Holy Qurbana. This was followed by a proud flag-hoisting ceremony to mark India's 80th Independence Day!

Grateful for our faith, our rich Indian heritage, and our freedom. May God bless our homeland and our church community.

What a beautiful celebration we had last Sunday for the Feast Day of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop! 🇦🇺

It was wonderful to come together to honor Australia’s first saint. Her lifelong dedication to education, her compassion for the marginalized, and her unwavering faith continue to be such an inspiration to us all.

As we head into the rest of the week, let’s carry her most famous guiding words with us:
"Never see a need without doing something about it." 💛🙏

Today is the feast day of Australia’s first and, as yet, only canonised saint: St Mary Mackillop.

Born in Fitzroy, Melbourne and baptised in St Francis Church on Lonsdale St, St Mary ‘s path to sainthood teaches us that by God’s grace and by cooperating with that grace, He can work something beautiful in our lives. St Mary certainly lived by the maxim she is known for: “Never see a need without trying to do something about it”.
St Mary MacKillop, pray for us!
