FROM THE TYPES OF MAJOR SHIRK
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim ุฑุญู
ู ุงููู said:
โFrom the types of major Shirk:
โช๏ธ Seeking needs from the dead,
โช๏ธ Seeking aid from them,
โช๏ธ And turning to them.
This is the origin of Shirk in the world, because the deeds of the deceased have been discontinued.
He does not possess the ability to harm or bring about benefit, more so than the one who seeks aid from him, asks him for the fulfilment of his needs, or asks him to intercede with Allaah for his need.
This illustrates his ignorance of the one who is asking for intercession and the one from whom he is asking intercession.โ
