The rich young ruler comes to Jesus asking:

“What do I still lack?”

He’s sincere. Devout. Moral. Successful. He’s done so much right... and yet he knows something isn’t right.

What Jesus exposes in him is something I suspect most of us will recognise in ourselves.

For those who don't know Elizabeth yet, I wanted to share why I'm so excited to have her with us this Sunday.
When last visited our church, we quickly became friends. What struck me wasn't simply her musical gifting, but her heart. She has a genuine desire to lead people's hearts, souls, minds and strength towards Christ.
I also really appreciate the way she writes. Whether she's leading the church in worship through congregational songs or sharing an item she's written, her lyrics are biblically rich, thoughtful, and full of truth that points people to Jesus.
For me, Elizabeth is far more than a gifted singer or songwriter. She is someone who is genuinely gifted at leading God's people in worship, and I'm grateful we get to share that with our church family this Sunday.
Today's song is one of Elizabeth's original pieces. I hope it encourages you as you listen, and gives you a glimpse into the heart she'll be bringing with her this Sunday.

🎵 Another glimpse into Elizabeth Rae's songwriting...
One of the things I've come to appreciate about Elizabeth is the depth of her songwriting. Her lyrics are thoughtful, biblically grounded, and have a wonderful way of drawing our hearts towards Christ.
