What a wonderful Easter with a range of displays to help us remember the arrival of Jesus as King, the Betrayal of Jesus, The Crowning of Jesus ready to be lifted up on the cross. And finally Jesus the Risen King who was raised to life, to the right hand of the father, establishing his kingdom in our hearts, and across the world.

This week we pause to remember the final days of Jesus' life on earth - his passion week. From this moment on, Jesus who had chosen to live his life among the common man as the humble servant of God, is unveiled as the long-awaited King of Israel, who will become both Lord over everything and Saviour for this world.

If you're looking for a space to be able to remember and celebrate the good news of Jesus, that comes through his life, death and resurrection, we would love you to join us...

Service of Shadows - Thursday 2nd April 7:45pm
This is a chance to stop and reflect on Jesus' journey to the cross.

Good Friday Service - Friday 3rd April 9:30am
Come and remember Jesus the crowned, crucified, and conquering king

Easter Sunday Celebration - Sunday 5th April 10am
Come and throw a streamer over the cross to help us celebrate Jesus the risen, reigning and returning king.

Look forward to seeing you, and praising Jesus together.

Come join our Camberwell Baptist Community (Kinder, Playgroup, Mainly Music & Church families) for a fun-filled time where we discover more of the significance of Christmas. Living Nativity starts 10am with children dressing up as characters in the nativity story (we have costumes at the church or come in one of yours!). Following this there will be food, Activities, Craft, Games to help you EXPLORE the story of Christmas as a family.

December 14th – Community Carols

Come along from 5:30pm to enjoy a Sausage Sizzle and some other tasty treats, followed by our family, and everybody friendly carols service starting from 7:00pm.

Last Sunday we launched our new series in the book of Ephesians titled 'We Are ONE', as we seek to rediscover recapture this beautiful, biblical, purposeful image of who we are as the church, the people of God.

The book of Ephesians has often been called a blueprint for the church, it gives us a pattern to follow both theologically and relationally, but it's up to us to to foster a spirit of unity, and keep the bonds of peace.

As we begin the book of Ephesians, Paul takes a moment to introduce himself, as Paul the Apostle, and greet the church, those who have been faithful to Jesus, and to ground us theologically. But rather than start with our brokenness, the problems in the church, or the culture in Ephesus, he invites us to capture a glimpse of the blessings we have received in Jesus. In Jesus, Paul says, we have been chosen together in love, we have been redeemed together by grace, and we have been sealed together for glory.

While at times we take these blessings for granted, we need to remember these are the blessings we hold ourselves, that unite us as the church, and are the good news we share with those around us.

This series started with a powerful invitation, to recognise every good thing we have in Jesus, so why not take a look, make your response, and join us as we learn what it means to be ONE.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)A...

Tuesday night we had the privilege of hearing from Rev, Tim Costello about an initiative of Micah Australia to make a Safer World for all.

Over many years the Australia’s international aid and development budget has declined to .68% which has had a disastrous effect on some of the world’s most vulnerable.

The good news is that Micah has a plan to make a difference, to lobby for 1% of our budget to go to foreign aid, and you can help.

Australia has always been a generous nation, and our humanitarian aid can help make a safer world for all. You can make a difference, all it takes is to follow the link and fill in your details and email your local politician.

Tomorrow night we have privilege of hosting Rev. Tim Costello AO as part of a Boroondara Interfaith Network community event.

Tim always brings a timely message with godly wisdom, and we are looking forward to hearing his reflections on how we can view the world through the lens of faith.

To get things started Tim will offer some reflections, there will be space for questions and discussion, and some refreshments provided.

This is a free event, and everyone is welcome, but bookings are essential. If you would like to come along, click on the link and sign up.
