Eucharistic miracles continue to happen around the world. The most recent ones approved by the Vatican occurred in 2016 in Legnica, Poland, and in 2025 in Vilakkannur, Kerala, India. Throughout the centuries, believers and skeptics alike have asked the same question: Why do these miracles keep occurring?

Here are three reasons why they keep happening worldwide:

1. To Strengthen Our Faith in the Real Presence

Jesus said, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven” (John 6:51). Many still struggle to believe the Eucharist is truly His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. Miracles visibly confirm Transubstantiation. Scientific tests (Buenos Aires, Legnica, Sokolka) show real human heart muscle — proof that what looks like bread is truly Jesus.

2. To Call Us to Deeper Devotion

God sees our distractions. These miracles point us back to the greatest miracle: Holy Mass. They invite us to adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, receive Him worthily, and make Him the center of our lives. As Blessed Carlo Acutis showed, the more we unite with Jesus in Communion, the more we become like Him.

3. To Evangelize and Draw Souls to Christ

In an age of skepticism, these miracles witness to the truth of the Catholic Faith. They spark conversions, renew hope, and invite everyone — from every nation — into deeper communion with Jesus.

Many of these miracles have undergone rigorous scientific examination (cardiac tissue, blood type AB, impossible natural explanations), yet they ultimately point beyond science to faith.

🙏 Let us respond with grateful hearts!

This week, spend time in Eucharistic Adoration or attend Mass with renewed reverence. Jesus is truly present and waiting for you.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY | June 8, 2026
Monday of the Tenth week in Ordinary Time
📖 ✠ From the Gospel according to Matthew 5:1-12

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain,
and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
He began to teach them, saying:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you
and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me.
Rejoice and be glad,
for your reward will be great in heaven.
Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ ✝️

✠ Gospel insight

In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us the Beatitudes, which show the values of God’s Kingdom. The world often praises power, wealth, and success, but Jesus calls blessed those who are humble, merciful, pure in heart, and those who seek justice. He reminds us that true happiness is not found in material things but in living close to God and trusting in His love.

Jesus also encourages us to remain faithful even when we face difficulties, rejection, or suffering because of our faith. He promises that God sees our struggles and will reward those who persevere in doing what is right. The Beatitudes invite us to live with kindness, compassion, and peace, becoming signs of God’s love in our families, communities, and the world.

WHO STARTED THE CATHOLIC CHURCH?

Ask this question to ten people, and you may get ten different answers.

Some will say Constantine.

Others will say a Pope.

Others will say the Catholic Church was created centuries after Jesus.

But what does history actually say?

The answer may surprise many people.

✝️ JESUS DID NOT COME TO START THOUSANDS OF CHURCHES

Jesus never said:

"I will build My churches."

He said:

"I will build My Church."

(Matthew 16:18)

Notice the singular.

Jesus intended to establish one Church.

Not hundreds.

Not thousands.

One.

✝️ JESUS FOUNDED HIS CHURCH ON THE APOSTLES

Jesus spent three years forming the Apostles.

He gave them authority to teach.

He gave them authority to forgive sins.

He gave them authority to baptize.

And to Peter He said:

"You are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church."

(Matthew 16:18)

This was not a promise about a future organization founded centuries later.

It was the beginning of the Church that Christ Himself established.

✝️ THE CHURCH EXISTED BEFORE THE BIBLE WAS COMPILED

Many people are surprised to learn that Christians existed long before the New Testament was assembled into a single book.

The Church was preaching, baptizing, celebrating the Eucharist, and spreading the Gospel before the Bible was fully compiled.

The Church did not come from the Bible.

The Bible came from the Church.

✝️ WHAT ABOUT CONSTANTINE?

A common myth says that Emperor Constantine founded the Catholic Church.

This is impossible.

By the time Constantine was born, Christians had already existed for nearly three centuries.

There were already bishops, priests, churches, martyrs, and Christian writings spread throughout the world.

Constantine legalized Christianity.

He did not create it.

✝️ THE NAME "CATHOLIC" IS ANCIENT

Around the year 107 AD, Saint Ignatius of Antioch wrote:

"Wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."

This was less than eighty years after the death and Resurrection of Jesus.

The name "Catholic Church" was already being used by Christians long before Constantine.

✝️ THE BIGGEST SURPRISE

The real question is not:

"Who started the Catholic Church?"

The real question is:

"If Jesus did not start it, who did?"

Because history shows that the Catholic Church can be traced continuously back through the bishops, the Apostles, and ultimately to Christ Himself.

✝️ SO WHO STARTED THE CATHOLIC CHURCH?

Not Constantine.

Not a Pope.

Not a medieval king.

Not a council.

Jesus Christ.

The Catholic Church does not claim to have been founded by a man.

She claims to be the very Church founded by Christ, built upon the Apostles, sustained by the Holy Spirit, and present in history from the first century until today.

That is why Catholics proudly say:

The founder of the Catholic Church is Jesus Christ Himself.
