The MYO is the official Youth Group of Our Lady of Lebanon Church comprising of Youth from the Parish who meets regularly for spiritual, social, and charitable events. In recent times the MYO has become renowned for its charity fundraising work, spiritual initiatives and social events throughout the Australian and Lebanese communities. The purpose of this page is to promote the events and activities of our Maronite Parish and promote the teachings of our Maronite Church. It is not an appropriate forum to debate questions of theology or spirituality. If you have specific questions about the Maronite or Catholic Church in general, we encourage you to approach a priest or come join us at our Quorbono (we refer to our liturgy as an Offering) every Sunday where we learn about our faith and receive the Body and Blood of Christ. There are plenty of Catholic resources on the internet which explain the Catholic Churches teachings. Of course we also encourage you to read the fantastic works of the saints, including our Eastern Church Fathers such as St Ephrem or St John Chrysosotom. If you read Arabic, the works of Patriarch Estephan El Doueihi provide wonderful teachings about our Maronite Church. Other Saints include St Theresa of Avila, St Augustine or St Aquinas or the more recent works of the Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen.
