A National Act of Recognition
We all know that indigenous recognition is a difficult and emotive issue for all Australians. It’s an even greater issue for indigenous and First Nations people, as we all experienced in the Voice to Parliament referendum last year.

For more than 25 years, a dedicated group of people have been working towards truth telling from our nations beginnings. This is known as ‘The National Act of Recognition’.

This movement is generated from a peaceful perspective, and seeks to tell the truth of our nations beginnings, right the past and then move forward in more unity than ever before.

West Belconnen Babies

After an extended Christmas break, West Belconnen Babies will recommence on Wednesday 7 February.
Meeting fortnightly from 930am to 11am at Mike and Barney's Community Centre, West Belconnen Babies is a free drop in support group for babies in their first year and their caregivers. Hosted by MACH Nurse Gaye with the generous support of St Barnabas Church, meet other parents and swap advice and tips in a friendly informal environment. Drop in for a cuppa and a chat. Stay for a short time or longer. Children up to preschool age are welcome to attend with their siblings.

VISIT BY REVD DR TERESA PARISH 7PM THURSDAY 21 JULY
The Anglican Renewal Network of Australia (ARNA) has much pleasure in hosting Rev Dr Teresa Parish at St Barnabas, Charnwood.
Teresa has a PhD in theology from CSU and is an ordained Foursquare pastor currently living in California. She founded KITE Ministries in 2021 in answer to God’s lifelong calling to serve and equip the global Church. An Australian, Teresa was brought up in the Anglican church.
Teresa teaches and ministers simply but powerfully in healing, hearing from God, baptism in the Spirit, spiritual gifts, spiritual fruit, identity and purpose,spiritual warfare, and the prophetic.
The theme for her visit is "Renew us by your Holy Spirit" and she will be sharing with us at St Barnabas, 10 Charnwood Place, Charnwood between 7pm - 9pm Thursday 21 July.
All are welcome so please do come along and bring some friends with you!
