Grace is God’s kindness that we could never earn. That doesn’t mean God shrugs at how we live. Like a good tradesman beside an apprentice, grace teaches, corrects and stays with us while we learn. It just never makes his love depend on us getting it right first.

Are you good enough for God?

You're not too far gone.

Maybe you've cut a few corners. Maybe you think you've made too many mistakes for God to be interested in you. The Bible tells a different story. In Paul's day, the people he trusted to show others what God is like were slaves, the people with the least standing in the whole community. Nobody is disqualified. "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1, NLT).

Why would a tradie point out his own mistakes?

Shane has run a polished concrete business for 20 years. On a big job site, it's easy to leave a mark and let someone else wear the blame. These days, at handover, he walks every customer to the marks he made, the ones they would never have spotted. Their reaction is always the same: why would he tell me that? That's integrity: owning what nobody else would notice. And it builds more trust than a perfect floor ever could.
