The Word of God
The Word of God, the person of Jesus Christ, fulfills the promises of the Old Testament. The Gospels and other scriptures contained in the Bible are our central written source for encountering the Word of God. Our Anglican Heritage
We value the expressions of faith that have formed our church community while actively seeking ways to share those treasures in a contemporary world. Prayer
Prayer is conversation with God that places God at the centre of our lives. We want to grow authentic and nourishing prayer lives – individually and corporately

Life-giving Relationships
We focus on people and how they relate to God and one another and try to shape our relationships with compassion, generosity and, when necessary, forgiveness. Inclusiveness
We seek to share God’s unconditional love of all people regardless of age, gender, race, marital or family status, sexual orientation, disability or circumstance. Growth
We believe the Christian life is a journey that calls us to grow in knowledge of, love for and enjoyment of God, resulting in loving service to others, in generous giving and in bringing others into discipleship - not only for our own fullness of life but in partnering in God’s saving, reconciling and recreating work in our world. Dialogue
God has given us the gift of reason; therefore we value inquiring minds and questioning hearts. We believe that loving, kind, patient and gentle dialogue with those whose beliefs and practices are different from ours is an important part of living and telling the Good News. Passion
We aim to live our communal life and mission wholeheartedly and joyfully, transformed and energized by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Tonight, our new St Peter's Parish Centre is shining brightly, and what a beautiful sight it is.
Seeing the lights on for the first time is more than just a building illuminated. It is a sign of hope, welcome, hospitality, and community. Soon these spaces will be filled with conversations, laughter, friendship, ministry, and care for people of all ages.

Today we gathered at the Rainbow Beach Good Shepherd to celebrate and give thanks for the life of Annette Collins.
The Church was filled to capacity with family, friends, church members, and community members, a beautiful testament to the love and respect so many held for Annette. While there were tears of farewell, there was also much laughter, gratitude, and the sharing of treasured memories.
For over many decades, Annette was a faithful and much-loved presence in the life of our church and the wider Rainbow Beach community. Her kindness, generosity, friendship, and quiet faith touched countless lives. She gave of herself freely and helped make our community a warmer and more caring place. To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as "Grandma Rainbow," a name that captured something of the colour, joy, warmth, and love she brought into the lives of those around her.
May Annette rest in God's eternal peace and rise in glory.

What a beautiful and hope-filled occasion last night as we gathered to commission the Gympie Winter Shelter and officially open the church doors from Monday to Thursday nights throughout winter.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers, partner organisations, supporters, and everyone who attended the commissioning service. Your commitment, kindness, and willingness to serve are helping make this vision a reality.

Great joy to present Peter with his LA (Liturgical Assistance) Licence on behalf of the Archbishop, affirming and commissioning his ministry within our parish community.
This licence recognises Peter's commitment to serving Christ and the Church, and enables him to continue contributing his gifts, faith, and leadership in the life of our parish.
We give thanks for Peter's willingness to serve and for the many ways he enriches our worship, fellowship, and mission. May God bless him with wisdom, grace, and joy as he continues this important ministry among us.

It was a privilege to lead the opening reflection and prayer for today’s Gympie Regional Council Ordinary Meeting.
In a time when communities can easily become divided by differing opinions, it was meaningful to reflect on the importance of listening well, leading with respect, and working together for the good of the whole community.
Local government carries both challenge and opportunity, helping shape the everyday life and future of our region. Holding our councillors, staff, and community in prayer as they continue that important work.

Thank you, Shirley!

What a wonderful beginning for the Gympie Winter Shelter volunteer training this afternoon at St Peter's Anglican Church, with around 30 people attending as our community prepares to support those experiencing hardship this winter.
It was heartening to see such generosity, compassion, and willingness to serve.
If you missed today’s session, or you are still considering volunteering this year, there is another opportunity tomorrow (Sunday) from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at St Peter’s Anglican Church.
You do not need to have all the answers, just a caring heart and a willingness to stand alongside others. Sometimes hope begins with a warm drink, a listening ear, and the simple gift of presence.
