Last Sunday, Pastor Russell shared from James 3:2–12 on The Key to Consistent Living.

Spiritual maturity, self-mastery and godly wisdom help us live consistently for Christ, including in the way we use our words.

Are your words reflecting a heart that is growing in Christ?

Last Sunday, Pastor Russell shared from James 3:1-2 and reminded us that teaching God’s Word is serious. We have influence, we are all accountable to God, and none of us can be perfect on our own.

These reminders point us back to the truth that we can only rely on God, not ourselves.

Last weekend, we had the privilege of hearing Peter Francis share from 2 Peter for our Teaching Weekend.

Peter challenged us to consider what it looks like to grow a faith that lasts: remembering the foundations of our faith, cultivating the fruit of our faith and keeping our focus on the future of our faith.

He also warned us about the danger of deception and unpacked the examples of the rebellious angels, Noah, Lot and Balaam. The weekend finished with a powerful reminder that Jesus will return again.

But will that day bring us fear or anticipation and delight?

Join us for our upcoming Teaching Weekend (August 22 & 23) as Peter Francis teaches from the book of 2 Peter. It will be a wonderful opportunity to encourage one another as we hear God's word and learn how we can persevere in faith.

If you are planning to attend, please register by emailing Russell. This will help with catering and planning.

Peter is a passionate bible teacher with decades of experience in pastoring churches and guest preaching. He and his wife Wendy also run the website https://www.truththattransforms.com.au/ through which they share much of their teaching.

Last Sunday, we had the special privilege of hearing David Blackburn preach from 2 Timothy 3:14-17.

David shared about why God’s Word matters and reminded us that Scripture is inspired, profitable and dependable. What a great encouragement to trust God’s Word and allow it to shape the way we live.
