NEXT SUNDAY, 7th JUNE — ANNUAL CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION!! Following the 9:30am Mass, EVERYONE is invited to come and process with Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist down Gymea Bay Road. As always, we will walk humbly and prayerfully, asking the Lord to touch the hearts of everyone in our local community. This is one way we can all give public witness for our Catholic faith and show our love for the Eucharist. (If you are not attending the 9:30am Mass, please be in the parish forecourt for 10:15am.) SEE YOU THERE!

Pentecost Novena - Night Four: Men’s Ministry Campfire

The fourth night of the novena was our men’s ministry and the first Campfire! The night began with the Rosary, followed by a talk from Fr Ben on the Men of Pentecost, after which the men shared in an incredible BBQ, including corn and potatoes cooked in the campfire itself.

The rain couldn’t dampen the sense of community, and it was heartening to see so many new faces join in our men’s ministry. Andrew Monsiff also shared the ministry’s plans for outreach and active service, so stay tuned for more on that.

We welcome all men in our parish to join us for our next men’s event!

Pentecost Novena - Night Three: Young Adults

The third night of the novena was all about community for our young adults. Following the 5:00pm Mass, the young adults of St Caths sat around the fire pits, cooked marshmallows, made cheese s’mores and heard more about the next stage of our young adults community. We also shared plans for 2027 WYD!

If you’re 18-35yrs, keep your eyes on socials and the bulletin for our next young adults event which will take place monthly after the 5:00pm Sunday Mass.

Pentecost Novena - Night Two: Fellowship of Fatherhood Launch

Night two of our Novena saw the launch if a new initiative in our parish for fathers. The Fellowship of Fatherhood seeks to connect the fathers and father figures in our school and church communities, providing a space where men can discuss the joys and challenges of raising Catholic families in today’s current landscape.

The night saw talks from Chris from Reset Within and Melissa and Ryan from Bold Psychology, a presentation on the upcoming initiatives as well as a panel of fathers discussing the celebrations and challenges of families.

Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events!

It is hard to put into words the unexpected graces and inspirations that the Holy Spirit inspired in our parish during our Pentecost Novena. It was another powerful reminder to us all that, if we genuinely trust in the Lord, He will never fail to send the Advocate.

We continue to encourage all parishioners to allow the Holy Spirit to work in their lives and, thus, in the life of our parish — in particular through a generous gift of self in one's time, talents, and treasure. There is so much to be grateful for but so much more to be done! Every one is called to be an integral part of this family and to reach out with "truth and mercy" to those who are yet to discover the beauty of the Catholic faith.

So do not be afraid to step forward and become more involved! Thank you for making our first Pentecost Novena such a beautiful and life-giving occasion.
