The tragedy at Bondi is something that we cannot hide from. IT has been and will be talked about across all parts of society. Our young people will invariably hear about it as well.
the Baptist Association has this practical resource to aid how we talk to our young people.

Merciful God,

We pray for those who are grieving the loss of loved ones
We ask that you bring peace to these people and these families in this dark time.

We pray for all those who have been injured
We pray that they will receive the care they need to tend to their physical wounds
We ask that you bring comfort to them as they recover from the trauma caused by these violent acts.

We pray for those present who witnessed these atrocities
We pray for the anxiety and distress, and ask that you bring peace to
these troubled hearts.

We pray for the Jewish Community
The whole Jewish community in Australia is reeling at this attack.
Help them, Father, as they grieve this brutal attack.
We pray that they will feel secure, that you will keep them safe.

We give you thanks for the Police and Paramedics
We give you thanks for their ongoing service to care for and protect our nation.
We ask that you watch over and protect them as they do this on a daily basis

We give you thanks for those who showed bravery in confronting terror
Those who showed cared for the injured and aided them in their distress

We pray this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Amen
