Dooliebeal District Winter Lightning Premiership

A huge congratulations to all of our Year 5/6 students who proudly represented Nazareth on Thursday at the Dooliebeal Winter Lightning Premiership in Torquay!

Competing across Soccer, Netball, and T-Ball, our students displayed outstanding teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day, consistently demonstrating the Nazareth values both on and off the field. While we didn’t have any teams progress through to Division this year, several teams came incredibly close, with our Girls and Mixed Netball teams, along with our Girls T-Ball team, finishing just one win away from qualification.

A sincere thank you to our staff for their time and effort coaching and supporting the teams throughout the day, and a special thanks to Loray for stepping in to lead our Girls Netball team. We also greatly appreciate the parents and families who came along to cheer on and support our students.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, attitude, and spirit shown by all of our students. Well done on a fantastic day of competition!

Well done to our outstanding young athletes who represented our school at the Bellarine Division Cross-Country earlier this week!

In far kinder conditions than the District event, our runners produced some fantastic performances and represented the school with determination, resilience, and pride.

A special congratulations to the seven students who have now qualified for the Western Metro Region Cross-Country Championships next month, an incredible achievement!

We are so proud of all of our competitors and the way they supported one another throughout the day.

Looking forward to seeing our Eucharist Candidates at our Parish Masses this weekend for the Eucharist Rite of Enrolment. Nazareth's mass is on Sunday at 11am although you can attend any masses today and tomorrow.

Dolliebeal District Cross-Country

Last week, we had approximately 50 Nazareth students represent our school at the Dolliebeal District Cross-Country event at the new Geelong Racecourse course.

Our students competed in incredibly challenging conditions, battling persistent rain, muddy terrain and frigid temperatures throughout the day. Despite this, every single student showed fantastic resilience, determination and sportsmanship, and represented Nazareth with pride.

We were thrilled to see 8 students successfully qualify through to the Bellarine Division Cross-Country event next week, an outstanding achievement!

We wish all of our qualifiers the very best of luck as they prepare to compete at Division level.

A huge congratulations to all students involved on a fantastic day of effort and perseverance.

I’ve been taking some copies of my new picture story book, Never Cuddle a Cactus, into school this week, and it has been wonderful sharing it with my students 🌵
Creating my own picture book to one day read with students has always been a dream of mine, so this week has felt very special.
What makes it even more meaningful is that the whole story actually began from a moment that happened at school one day, so it now feels like the journey has come full circle.

A big week of celebrating all of the mothers and wonderful women in our lives at Nazareth!
Wednesday morning we enjoyed a bacon and egg roll and hot coffee for breakfast and today students picked special gifts from our Mother's Day stall.
We also celebrated these special people at our Assembly this afternoon hosted by FKC - well done to the first Foundation class assembly for the year!
A BIG thank you to our P&F who organised, wrapped, and managed our breakfast and stall this week. Your work makes Nazareth an even better place to be!
Happy Mother's Day to all of the women who bring a smile (and some organisation) to our daily lives! 💐❤️
