𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭: Pentecost

Holy God,
On this Pentecost day,
we gather across this land and across the life of the Uniting Church, seeking again the movement of your Holy Spirit.

Breathe upon your Church once more.

Where there is weariness, bring renewal.
Where there is division, bring reconciliation.
Where there is fear, bring courage.
Where there is uncertainty, bring hope.

God of all peoples and all creation,
you continue to draw us together across cultures, languages, generations, and communities through the love of Christ.

As we begin these 30 days of prayer,
teach us to listen deeply —
to you,
to one another,
and to the voices we have too often overlooked.

We give thanks for the leadership and witness of the National Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress,
for the richness of our multicultural Church,
and for every community seeking to live faithfully in this time.

Renew us again as your people.

Weave us together in compassion.
Weave us together in justice.
Weave us together in truth and grace.
Weave us together in Christ’s love across cultures and boundaries.

And as your Spirit moved at Pentecost among many peoples and many languages,
may your Church today continue to bear witness to the good news of Jesus Christ with humility, courage, and joy.

We offer this season of prayer to you,
trusting that you are already at work among us.

In the name of Jesus Christ,
through the power of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

Lest we forget 🙏🏼🕊️

It was an honour and privilege for our minister Rev. Kepueli Vaka to be invited to preside the closing prayer, and laying of the wreath alongside V’ry Rev. Thomas of St. Albans Anglican Cathedral, on behalf of Griffith Christian communities at our Griffith Anzac Day Service held at Cenotaph, Memorial Park.

We stand in unity and give thanks in remembrance of all who sacrificed their lives to defend our freedom in their hope and fight for peace.

We pray for God’s peace in the world today that nations shall not lifts swords and weapons against each other, but to love and care for one another as commanded by Jesus Christ, the Prince of peace.

They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning,
We will remember them. 🙏🏼🕊️🙌🏼

No matter where our lives take us, whether it be to the highest peak, or on the otherside of the globe, one thing always remains deep down, & that is our faith!

Our journeys maybe different, but he’s always waiting, never not by your side.

GOD IS GOOD!

Kids church could be your next calling?
Put your hand up, and join the team.

We know our kids love their leaders, and we know our leaders are doing a great job (otherwise the kids wouldn’t be coming back haha)

You could be the next “cool” thing at Kids Church!

But the coolest thing would be Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Amen?
GOD IS GOOD!
