Come along to the Pacific Officers Law Enforcement Network (POLEN) Community Engagement & Information Evening. This is a great opportunity for our Pasifika community, especially our young people, to ask questions, hear directly from officers, and learn about pathways into policing.

As Trans Pacific for Christ begins, here are 10 things you can pray for during Prayer Sabbath on July 4— and over the coming months—as you support this mission initiative from wherever you are in the world.

1. Pray for the speakers
People from more than 20 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, India, China, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States, will present at Trans Pacific for Christ.

2. Pray for the attendees
Across 11 Pacific nations, thousands of people are expected to attend the meetings.

3. Pray for the churches involved
Local churches are the foundation of the program, providing venues, volunteers and ongoing support to their communities.

4. Pray for the local communities
With 983 planned preaching sites across the initiative, the communities are diverse—from cities and regional centres to remote villages.

5. Pray for the countries
Trans Pacific for Christ will be held in American Samoa, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

6. Pray for safe travels
Many speakers and support staff will travel significant distances by air and sea, and local attendees will be travelling to sites each day.

7. Pray for the preparation
Months of planning have gone into the initiative, but last minute problems may arise.

8. Pray for the digital ministry
The programs will be promoted on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

9. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s leading
While planning and preparation are important, ultimately it is a spiritual initiative to connect people with Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit.

10. Pray for the ongoing nurturing of new believers
Local churches will continue to support and disciple people once the public meetings finish.

One of the many games enjoyed throughout the day! 😊

It was wonderful to see all generations getting involved—from the young to the young at heart. Days like these remind us of the joy that comes from community, connection, and simply spending time together.

There were plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and great memories made along the way. A fantastic day of fun, fellowship, and celebration for everyone involved! 🎉🇼🇸

What an incredible weekend celebrating the 64th Anniversary of Samoa’s Independence here in Griffith! 🇼🇸 It was a blessing to see so many Samoans come together in unity, celebrating our culture, heritage, and faith. One of the greatest highlights was seeing different Samoan churches standing together as one, reflecting our vision of being “One in Christ”

As the Samoan proverb says, ”O le fogava’a e tasi”— “We are all in the same canoe.” This weekend reminded us that although we may come from different churches and backgrounds, we are one people, one community, and one family under God. It was encouraging to see ministers, families, youth, and elders united in fellowship and celebration.

A heartfelt thank you to all the ministers, the organising committee, volunteers, and everyone who supported and participated. Your hard work made this celebration possible. I believe this weekend was more than a celebration—it was the beginning of good things to come for the Samoan community in Griffith. Fa’afetai tele lava ma ia manuia. 🇼🇸❤️
