If you could swap places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be?
Most people pick someone with more. More money, more freedom, more influence.
We always swap up.
And that instinct reveals something about all of us that we don't usually say out loud.
This Sunday we're wrapping up This Is Living with something that genuinely turns this upside down. The secret to a fulfilling life doesn't look like climbing higher. It looks like the opposite.
And once you see it, it's hard to unsee.
Think of someone who's been running hard lately. Chasing. Tired. Invite them along this Sunday. It'll be worth their morning.

Picture your best friend from primary school....
The one you sat next to. The one whose phone number you knew off by heart. The one who made the boring bits of school feel like an adventure.

Funny thing is, that friend probably shaped you more than you realised. The things you laughed at, the things you got brave enough to try - a good friend helped shape you.

That's exactly what our UpStreet kids unpacked this Sunday: the people we walk with shape who we become. Good friends are important.

So here's to the good friends — the ones who shaped us then, and the ones kids are finding now. 💛

There's lots of things that counteract or compromise our ability to experience peace. And something a lot of us would like a little bit more of is...peace!
The challenge is that a lot of the things we search for to put our peace in end up being fragile, and easily breakable.
There's something we can find peace in that isn't breakable and will withstand the circumstances of live.

This term, UpStreet + Transit are exploring what healthy friendships really look like — learning from the way Jesus loved people, included others, and showed us how to be a good mate.

We want every young person to know they belong, they matter, and they’re never doing life alone. 🫶

Transit is for Grades 7–10. We meet fortnightly at Beyond.
