We had fun participating in the Goombungee Jacaranda festival on the weekend!

Great message on Sunday - a new way of thinking about the Holy Spirit.

We heard how the bible is a story of temples, it started with the garden of Eden and it ends with us, Gods plan was to be fully present with his people.

The definition of a temple - the place where heaven and earth meet. They are Gods presence in the community.

I hope this challenges and encourages you as it did me - when we think of the fact that we are Gods temple, we understand that we are Gods presence in the community! And also that He is always with us! Whatever we have to face each day.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t ask for permission but it does ask for our participation!

Don's funeral will be held on Monday the 14th of April at Burstows Funerals Chapel, 1020 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba. The service will commence at 12pm (midday). At the conclusion of the service, the family will be going to The Blue Mountain Hotel for lunch. You are welcome to join us for lunch (pay for own meals & drinks). If you intend on joining us for lunch, please text Peter on 0419759296 as soon as possible so that he can advise the hotel on numbers for lunch.

Sadly Don Macdonald, one of our own and one of the original pioneers for the Goombungee Wesleyan Methodist passed away this morning at the age of 92.

Even though there is sadness there is also celebration and reflection on the life lived for God - a man who strongly believed everyone should see Jesus in us through the way we live our life and he most certainly showed Jesus to so many he touched.

As one of his favourite hymns goes "I'm so glad I'm a part of the family of God" and we are so thankful to know he is in heaven now with our loving Father
