A reminder about our service this Sunday to honour our First Responders

First Responders Service | Sunday 25 January 2026.

In recent days our country has experienced fires, floods and cyclones.
Many men and women have responded to the calls for help and we want to acknowledge them.

Join us for a special service to honour the First Responders in our community. Police, CFS, MFS, SES, Sea Rescue, Ambulance, Doctors and Nurses are all invited to join us as we acknowledge the tireless efforts that these people put into making our community safe.

To be held at the Goolwa Uniting Church on Sunday 25 January from 9.30am.
Join us for morning tea afterwards.

If you know a First Responder, invite them to come along.

Women of Worth - a ladies only group meeting on the 1st Saturday every month at Goolwa Uniting Church from 10am to 11.30am- is on again this Saturday June 7th. We have a guest speaker talking on her time in New Guinea. There will be barista coffee and good food for morning tea. A small donation to help cover costs would be appreciated but not mandatory! Come along and join us and bring a friend. Looking forward to seeing you!

This coming Sunday we plan to hold a Blue Service. A time when we have the opportunity to remember loved ones that are no longer with us.

Or for those in our community and church who maybe hurting for various reasons, homelessness, disconnected families or just not a happy time for whatever reason.

We acknowledge that Christmas can be a very sad, difficult and emotional time. Not necessarily the happy, joyous times that is assumed.

We want to take the opportunity to support you in this if you need it, or to just allow you the time to remember that special person.

If you are new to this, we are encouraged to take a Blue Bauble and write the name of whom we are remembering and place the bauble on the Christmas Tree.

1 Collingwood St, Goolwa from 9:30 am or if you prefer a more traditional service, come along on a Friday morning from 10:30 am.

Robert Bailey will be preaching. Ali will be sharing about her holiday to Vanuatu in our Beyond Sunday spot. We will be Commissioning our newly elected Church Council.
Sharing in Communion and worshiping together….Wow, what a jam packed morning it’s going to be.
We would love for you to join us in person, bring a friend or two along.
