This week ☝️ Minor Prophets begin. Starting with Jonah we’ve got 5 weeks looking at these small but powerful books of the Old Testament.
📖 Read the prophet before Sunday.
🙏 Pray that God would speak to you through the prophets voice.

What does it really mean to leave everything and follow Jesus? 🤍
Luke 5:11 says, “They left everything and followed Him.” It’s a beautiful verse—but also a challenging one. Discipleship asks us to loosen our grip on our own ambitions, comfort, desires, and self-made plans, so we can hold tightly to Jesus.
Over the next three weeks, we’re exploring how following Him reshapes us from the inside out. Pray with us that God’s grace would gently pry away anything we cling to more than Him.

We gathered, we sang, we read from the Bible, we prayed, we met Woolly the sheep, we had a decadent morning tea and time together across five churches, we heard a powerful reminder of how Jesus is impacting lives. All of this was in humble celebration of Jesus - all he’s doing and will do through the gospel. That was our combined gathering in 2026.

And two gospel opportunities came out of the service, too:

1) Big Questions series. We are looking for opportunities to ask our friends and family this question: “If Jesus sat down with you, what would you want to talk with him about?” From the answers, we will then form a sermon series next term, which you can bring people to.

2) If you are not confident to have these conversations, or you would like to grow in evangelism, we have a training event on 15 August.

What do Christians really mean when they say things like “Jesus is King,” “Jesus is Saviour,” “worship,” or “sermon”? Behind those words are some pretty big ideas about Jesus, God, worship, the Bible, and how we live. 🙏✝️

These aren’t just religious words or churchy phrases.

They describe a whole way of seeing the world: Jesus as the loving King we live under, the Saviour who rescues us from sin and death and brings us into new life, worship as giving our whole lives to God, and preaching as hearing the Bible explained so that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we can understand God, see what he has done in Jesus, and follow his ways in our everyday lives.

We all have deep desires for joy, security and a life that feels full. The question is not whether we desire too much, but whether we are settling for things that can never satisfy what we were made for.

Psalm 16 points us to the God who doesn’t just offer temporary happiness, but fullness of joy in his presence. What are you looking to for the good life?

Australians lose more money to gambling per person than any other nation in the world. But what if the deeper issue isn’t betting, what if it’s all about where we go looking for joy, hope, community and the good life? Join us this Sunday for our last in the conversation series as we explore Psalm 16 and discover the path of lasting joy found in Jesus.

We’d love you to join us.

📖 “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” — Psalm 16:11

We often live as though love can be secured through success, achievement, attractiveness, or possessions. Yet Song of Songs reminds us that the most valuable things in life cannot be bought. Love is received, nurtured, and ultimately rooted in the faithful love God has shown us in Jesus.
What are you trusting to give you the security and acceptance that only God’s love can provide?
