Parenting has a way of exposing our weaknesses, failures and limitations. That’s why we need more than advice. We need the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you’re carrying guilt, disappointment or self-doubt today, remember: Jesus doesn’t love you because you’re a good parent. He loves you because He is a gracious Saviour.

Many parents carry enormous pressure.
Pressure to get everything right.
Pressure to give their children every opportunity.
Pressure to make sure they succeed.
But before we think about parenting methods, the Bible asks a deeper question: What outcome are we aiming for?
Christian parenting isn’t ultimately about producing impressive children. It’s about helping the next generation see the beauty, value and glory of Jesus.
That doesn’t remove the challenges of parenting, but it does give them purpose.
What would change if your definition of success was shaped more by eternity than by achievement?

This Sunday our conversation is about parenting. Honestly, it can feel overwhelming, isolating, and full of pressure. But God calls us into a bigger story of passing on faith to the next generation and gives grace for each moment.

But, don’t switch off if that’s not your current season! The vision God gives for our children is also a vision for all of us. That we would become more like Christ and help others do the same.

Rather than chasing perfect outcomes, we’ll explore how grace, gospel priorities, and everyday habits shape what really lasts.
Come and be encouraged to parent (and live) with Jesus at the centre.

Christian community is more than shared attendance, it’s shared life. Paul says he shared not only the gospel, but his very life with the church.

That means following Jesus together is both truth and presence: speaking the gospel and opening our lives to one another in love.

Where might God be calling you to move from distance to shared life this week?

We often treat church like one commitment among many and something to fit in when life allows. But Ephesians 1 pushes us to see something much bigger: the church is the body of Christ, the place where his rule and presence are made visible in the world.

That changes how we show up and what community looks like. It changes how we invest our time, our energy, and our relationships.
And, it means that church isn’t a side hustle of God or an optional extra.

Because what God is doing through his church isn’t temporary, it’s eternal.
And yeah, it’s messy. But, because of Jesus, it’s also authentic. It’s the place where the reign of Jesus is made visible in the world.
And that means it’s full of people who need redeeming grace and who can show off redeeming grace. Imperfectly at times, but always pointing to a perfect God.

Where might God be inviting you to re-centre your life around his people?

God’s generosity doesn’t just save us—it reshapes us. When we see everything as a gift from his hand, generosity becomes an act of worship rather than obligation. What would change if you viewed your time, money, and abilities through the lens of God’s generosity?

When you think about God, would “generous” make your list? The Bible presents a God who is generous in creation, salvation, and ultimately in giving us Christ. As we grasp his generosity toward us, generosity stops feeling like loss and starts feeling like participation in God’s own grace.

📖 “Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” – 1 Chronicles 29:14

Prayer can feel like we need to come up with the perfect words, but God has already started the conversation. He speaks through his word, and we are invited to respond. What would change if you treated Bible reading less like a task and more like a conversation with God?

Sometimes we can treat prayer like knocking on a locked door, hoping someone answers. But the gospel gives a different picture: because of Jesus, the door is already open. Prayer is both hearing and speaking — hearing God’s voice in Scripture, and speaking back to him in response. Prayer begins with God’s welcome, not our performance.

What would change if you opened God’s word today and spoke back to him what you heard?
