“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
— John 3:16–17 (NKJV)
This is the gospel; the good news that is almost too wonderful to be true, yet gloriously is. The greatest love of all was not merely spoken; it was demonstrated at the cross through Jesus’ finished work.
Our heavenly Father did not send Jesus to condemn you, to count your failures, or to measure your worth by your performance. No; He sent His Son because He so loved you. At the cross, we see love in its purest, most powerful form. Jesus’ heart was broken so that yours could be made whole. Every stripe on His back, every drop of His precious blood, was for you.
Through His broken body, you have been made whole, healed, restored, and brought into completeness. Through His blood poured out, every sin has been forgiven, past, present, and future. And today, because of Jesus, you are not trying to become righteous… you are righteous because of Jesus. It is a gift of grace, fully accomplished, completely finished.
This is the beauty of the finished work: nothing left for you to earn, nothing left for you to prove. Just believe. Just receive. Just rest in His love.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your perfect sacrifice. Thank You that because of You, we have everlasting life, unshakable righteousness, and a love that will never let us go 🙏🏼♥️
