A well doesn't run dry when it's fed from the inside. That's the picture here — not a one-off drink, but a constant source.

"On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, 'If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.' But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified." — John 7:37-39 NKJV

Jesus didn't whisper this invitation — He cried it out, in front of everyone. It's still just as open today.

Some days the thirst is obvious — you know exactly what you're longing for. Other days it just feels like restlessness, and it takes a moment to realise it's Him you're actually after.

Jeremiah didn't have it easy — mocked, opposed, worn down. But even in the middle of it, he lands on praise. That's not denial, that's trust.
