WHEN LIFE IS SINKING, LOOK UP

📖 — SCRIPTURE
“When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, LORD, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple.”
Jonah 2:7 NIV

👀 — OBSERVATION
Jonah prayed this from one of the lowest places imaginable. He had run from God, faced the storm, been thrown into the sea, and now found himself inside the fish. Yet at the point where his life was slipping away, Jonah remembered the LORD.
Sometimes we remember God most clearly when everything else we depended on is stripped away. Jonah discovered that even in the depths, he was not beyond the reach of God. His circumstances could not stop his prayer from rising to heaven.
The powerful truth is this: Jonah may have been sinking, but his prayer was rising.

👣 — APPLICATION
To live this Word out…
When I feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or like circumstances are pulling me under, I will remember who God is before I focus on where I am.
1. I will PRAY BEFORE I PANIC. My situation may be deep, but God is deeper still.
2. I will REMEMBER GOD’S FAITHFULNESS. I will remind myself of the prayers He has answered, the doors He has opened, and the times He carried me when I couldn’t carry myself.
3. I will KEEP PRAYING FROM THE DEEP. I don’t need perfect circumstances to pray a powerful prayer. Even from my lowest place, my prayer can still rise into the presence of God.

🙏🏽 — PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, when life feels overwhelming and I feel myself sinking beneath the weight of circumstances, help me to remember You. Remind me that no situation is deeper than Your grace, no storm is greater than Your power, and no place is beyond Your reach. Instead of allowing fear to control me, teach me to pray. Thank You that You hear me from the mountain and You hear me from the depths. Today I declare: I may go through deep waters, but I will not drown. I will remember the LORD, I will pray, and I will trust You to bring me through. I love you Jesus.
In Your Matchless Name,
Amen.

📖 — SCRIPTURE
“And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.
Matthew 10:42 NIV

👀 — OBSERVATION
Jesus reminds us that nothing done for Him is too small to matter. We often associate impact with big platforms, big sacrifices, or extraordinary acts, but Jesus points to something as simple as a cup of cold water.
God sees the acts that nobody applauds—the encouragement, the helping hand, the quiet generosity, the phone call, the prayer, the time we give someone, and the kindness shown when there is nothing in it for us.
Little acts done with great love can have eternal impact.

👣 — APPLICATION
To live this Word out…
I will SEE THE NEED - Instead of being so busy that I walk past people, I will ask God to help me notice who needs encouragement, support, prayer, or simply someone who cares.
I will SERVE WITHOUT NEEDING RECOGNITION — Not everything God calls me to do needs an audience. Heaven notices what people overlook.
I will USE WHAT IS IN MY HAND — Jesus didn’t say I needed something impressive. Sometimes my “cup of cold water” is my time, a meal, a message, a listening ear, or simply showing up.
Small obedience in my hands can become significant impact in God’s hands.

🙏🏽 — PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, I thank You for reminding me that nothing I do for You is insignificant. Open my eyes today to see the needs around me. Give me a generous heart that serves without seeking recognition or reward. Help me never become too busy to offer my “cup of cold water” to someone who needs it. May my words, actions, time, and resources reflect the love of Jesus. Use the little things I do today to make a big difference in someone else’s life.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Happy Fathers Day!

đź“–Scripture
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.”
Psalm 103:13 NIV

đź‘€Observation
This verse gives us a beautiful picture of God’s heart toward His children. Just as a loving father responds to his children with compassion, care, patience, and tenderness, the Lord shows compassion to those who honour and reverence Him.
God is not distant, harsh, or uncaring. He sees us, understands our weaknesses, and responds to us with mercy. His compassion is not based on our perfection but flows from His character as our loving Heavenly Father.
For some people, the word “father” brings comfort and security. For others, it may bring pain, disappointment, or memories of absence. Yet God reveals Himself as the perfect Father—the One who never abandons, fails, or stops loving His children.

👣Application
To live this Word out…
Today, I will remind myself that I am deeply loved and cared for by my Heavenly Father. When I feel discouraged, rejected, or alone, I can run to God and trust His compassion.
I will also ask God to help me reflect His heart to others, especially to my family. Whether I am a father, parent, mentor, leader, or friend, I can show compassion through patience, forgiveness, encouragement, prayer, and faithful presence.
I will not allow painful experiences with earthly fathers to define my understanding of God. Instead, I will allow the character of my Heavenly Father to heal my heart and shape my relationships.

🙏🏽Prayer
DearestHeavenly Father, I thank You for Your compassion and unfailing love. Thank You for caring for me as Your child and for always being present in my life. Heal every place in my heart that has been wounded by disappointment, rejection, or absence. Help me to trust You more deeply and to reflect Your compassion to those around me. Strengthen every father and father figure, and help them lead with love, wisdom, patience, and grace. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

đź“– SCRIPTURE
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”
Galatians 5:22–23 (NIV)

🔎 OBSERVATION
Paul reminds me that the evidence of the Holy Spirit working in my life is not simply what I say, what I know, or even what I do publicly, it is the fruit my life produces.
Fruit grows from what a tree is connected to. In the same way, when I remain connected to Jesus and surrender daily to the Holy Spirit, His character should increasingly become visible through me.
Love when it would be easier to become offended.
Joy even when circumstances are difficult.
Peace when everything around me feels unsettled.
Patience when things are taking longer than expected.
Kindness and goodness toward people, even when they cannot repay me.
Faithfulness when nobody is watching.
Gentleness when I have the opportunity to respond harshly.
Self-control when my flesh wants to take over.

🙌 APPLICATION
To live this Word out…
“What kind of fruit is my life producing?”
Before I respond to difficult situations, conversations, family matters, ministry responsibilities, or unexpected pressures, I will allow the Holy Spirit to govern my response.
I don’t just want the gifts of the Spirit operating through me; I want the fruit of the Spirit growing within me.
Today I choose to walk by the Spirit, respond by the Spirit, and represent Jesus well.

🙏 PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift and presence of Your Holy Spirit. Search my heart today and remove anything that prevents Your character from being seen through my life.
When pressure comes, may the fruit that comes out of me reveal Who lives inside of me. Let my family see Jesus in me. Let my church see Jesus in me. Let people I encounter today experience the love, grace, peace, and kindness of Christ through my life.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

đź“– SCRIPTURE
“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”Proverbs 21:5 NIV

đź‘€ OBSERVATION
This verse reminds me that God honours diligence, patience, preparation, and faithful stewardship. There is a difference between moving with purpose and moving in haste. Diligence takes time to pray, plan, prepare, and then act consistently. Haste wants immediate results and can cause me to make decisions before I have sought God’s wisdom.
Not every opportunity requires an immediate yes, and not every delay means God has said no. Sometimes wisdom says, “Pray, plan, prepare, then proceed.”

👣 APPLICATION
To live this Word out…
Today I will refuse to be driven by pressure, impatience, or emotion. Before making important decisions, I will ask:
“Have I prayed about it? Have I planned wisely? Am I being diligent—or am I simply rushing?”
I will be faithful with what God has already placed in my hands. Whether it concerns my family, ministry, work, finances, or future, I will choose consistent obedience over shortcuts. Small, disciplined steps taken faithfully can produce lasting fruit.

🙏🏽 PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that diligence matters. Give me wisdom to plan well, patience to wait when necessary, and discipline to follow through on what You have placed before me. Protect me from rushed decisions, unnecessary pressure, and shortcuts that take me outside Your will.
Order my steps today. Teach me to recognise the difference between Your prompting and my impatience. May the plans I make be surrendered to You, and may everything I put my hands to honour You and bless others.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

đź“– SCRIPTURE
“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 23:24 NIV

đź‘€ OBSERVATION
This verse is both a warning and a comfort. It warns me that nothing can be hidden from God, but it comforts me because it also means there is nowhere I can go where His presence cannot reach me.
When I feel alone, He is there.
When I am uncertain, He is there.
When I pray quietly and nobody else knows the burden I am carrying, He is there.

👣 APPLICATION
To live this Word out…
Today I will live with a greater awareness of God’s presence. I don’t need to wait until I am in church or in a prayer meeting to encounter Him. God is present in my home, workplace, conversations, decisions, travelling, ministry and quiet moments.
I will also allow God to search the hidden places of my heart. Rather than hiding my fears, disappointments, weaknesses or struggles, I will bring them openly before Him.
If God fills heaven and earth, then whatever I face today, I will never face it without Him.

🙏🏽 PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, I thank You that Your presence fills heaven and earth. There is nowhere I can go where You are not already there. Search my heart today and expose anything I have tried to hide from You. Purify my motives, thoughts and desires.
Holy Spirit, make me continually conscious of Your presence. Go before me into every conversation, decision, responsibility and assignment. When challenges arise, remind me that I am not facing them alone.
Fill my home with Your presence. Fill my family with Your presence. Fill GL755 and every place You have called us to serve with Your presence. May everything I do today honour You.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

đź“– SCRIPTURE
“Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
Psalm 103:2 NIV

đź‘€ OBSERVATION
Sometimes we don’t need another miracle; we need to remember what God has already done.
Remember His faithfulness.
Remember His provision.
Remember the doors He opened.
Remember the prayers He answered.
Remember the battles He brought you through.
Remember the times He protected you without you even knowing it.
Remember His grace that carried you when you didn’t have the strength to carry yourself.
Remembering God’s past faithfulness builds faith for what you’re facing today.

👣 APPLICATION
To live this Word out out…
Today I will intentionally remind myself of the goodness of God.
I will not allow today’s problem to make me forget yesterday’s testimony.
Before I ask God for something new, I will take time to thank Him for what He has already done.
If He was faithful then, He will be faithful again.

🙏🏽 PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, I thank You for reminding me today not to forget Your goodness.
Forgive me for the times I have focused so much on what I don’t have that I have forgotten everything You have already given me.
Today I choose to remember.
I remember Your grace.
I remember Your mercy.
I remember Your protection.
I remember Your provision.
I remember Your healing.
I remember Your forgiveness.
I remember Your faithfulness.
Thank You, Lord, for everything You have done, everything You are doing, and everything You are still going to do.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

đź“– SCRIPTURE
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”
Psalm 84:11 (NIV)

đź‘€ OBSERVATION
This verse gives us a beautiful picture of who God is and how He cares for His people.
God is our SUN. He brings light when we cannot see the way forward. He gives warmth, life, direction and hope.
God is our SHIELD. He protects us from things we can see and things we cannot. Sometimes what feels like rejection, delay, or a closed door may actually be God’s protection.
God gives FAVOR AND HONOUR we don’t have to manipulate circumstances or force doors open. What God has ordained for us cannot be taken away by people.

And then comes the promise: “No good thing does He withhold.”

That doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want. It means we can trust Him with what He gives, what He delays, and even what He refuses. If something is genuinely good for us and consistent with His purpose, we don’t have to live afraid that we will somehow miss it.

❤️ APPLICATION
TO LIVE THIS word out…
My responsibility is to walk faithfully with God. His responsibility is to provide what I need for the assignment He has given me.
Today I will remind myself:
If God gives it — receive it with gratitude.
If God delays it — wait with faith.
If God closes it — trust His protection.
If God opens it — walk through with courage.

Because my Father will never withhold anything that is truly good for His purpose in my life.

🙏 PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Sun and my Shield.
When I cannot see clearly, be my light. When I don’t understand what is happening around me, remind me that You are still protecting, directing, and ordering my steps.
Forgive me for the times I have mistaken Your delay for rejection or Your protection for disappointment.
Lord, let Your favour rest upon my life, my family, and every assignment You have entrusted to me.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

đź“– SCRIPTURE
“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.”
Proverbs 22:9 NIV

đź‘€ OBSERVATION
This verse reminds me that generosity is Kingdom living. God does not simply look at what is in my hand; He looks at what is in my heart.
A generous person sees what God has provided not only as something to enjoy, but also as something that can bless somebody else.
Generosity isn’t always about having plenty. Sometimes it is sharing what I have even when it doesn’t feel like much. A meal, my time, encouragement, prayer, finances, kindness or simply being present can make a difference in someone’s life.

❤️ APPLICATION
To live this Word out..
Today I will ask myself:
“Who can I bless with what God has already placed in my hands?”
I don’t have to wait until I have more.
I can share what I have right now.
I will choose to live with an open hand and an open heart, remembering that everything I possess ultimately belongs to God.
I am blessed to be a blessing.

🙏 PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, I thank You for every blessing You have placed in my life. Forgive me for the times I have focused more on what I don’t have than on what You have already given me.
Give me eyes to see the needs around me and a heart willing to respond.
Deliver me from selfishness, greed and the fear of not having enough. Teach me to trust You as my Provider.
Use my hands to give, my mouth to encourage, my time to serve and my life to demonstrate Your love.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

TODAY’S DECLARATION:
“I will live with an open heart and open hands. I am blessed by God to be a blessing to others.”

27/08/2026

Friday 28/08/26
Gold Coast.

đź“–SCRIPTURE
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Philippians 4:13 NIV

đź‘€OBSERVATION
Paul’s declaration is not simply, “I can do anything.” His confidence is in Christ who gives him strength.
The surrounding verses show that Paul had experienced seasons of abundance and seasons of need. He had learned how to remain faithful when life was comfortable and when life was difficult. His secret was not his own ability—it was the strength of Christ working within him.
Philippians 4:13 reminds me that God may not always remove the situation, but He will give me the strength to walk through it.
When I feel tired, Christ is my strength.
When I feel overwhelmed, Christ is my strength.
When I feel inadequate, Christ is my strength.
When the assignment feels bigger than me, Christ is my strength.

👣APPLICATION
To live this Word out…
Today, I will stop measuring what I can accomplish by my own strength.
There may be responsibilities, battles, decisions, ministry assignments, family matters, or circumstances that feel beyond my ability. But God has never asked me to fulfil His purpose through human strength alone.
So today I declare:
I can keep going because Christ strengthens me.
I can remain faithful because Christ strengthens me.
I can face what is in front of me because Christ strengthens me.
I can GET UP again because Christ strengthens me.

My strength has a Source—and His name is JESUS!

🙏🏽PRAYER
Dearest Heavenly Father, I thank You that I do not have to face today in my own strength. When I am weak, tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed, remind me that Your strength is available to me.
Lord Jesus, strengthen my heart, strengthen my mind, strengthen my faith, and strengthen my hands for every assignment You have placed before me.
Give me strength to keep believing, keep praying, keep serving, keep loving, keep forgiving, and keep moving forward. When life knocks me down, give me the faith to GET UP again.
I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
