CONGRATULATIONS – DEACON JOHN We congratulate Deacon John who celebrated 10 years as an ordinated Deacon on Friday, the only ordination we have had in this church John has faithfully served as a Deacon to the Gloucester, Krambach and Taree Parishes. We pray that John is willing and able to serve us for many years to come. John’s ministry includes celebrating the Liturgy of the Word with Communion in the absence of a priest, presiding at Funeral Services, Baptisms, visiting the sick at home and Nursing Home, assisting our Sacramental Priest at Mass and the sacraments, preparing children for the sacraments, and representing our church on the Gloucester Combined Churches as secretary/Treasurer. Well done true and faithful servant.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Following Mass this Sunday, Parishes throughout Australia are using this opportunity to launch “Eucharist28".
The 54th INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS: These Congresses, which promote devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, are held every 4 years. The first one was held in Lille, France, in June 1881. The 29th such Congress was held in Sydney in September 1928. The last one occurred in Quito, Ecuador in September 2024. Pope Leo will celebrate Mass at Royal Randwick Racecourse, probably in October 2028, as part of this Congress in being held in Sydney in 2028.
