June for Jesus – Northwest Coast Prayer Chain

Throughout June, churches across Tasmania’s Northwest Coast are joining together in a united Prayer Chain initiative, dedicating specific days of the week to intentional prayer. Each church has been assigned a day to pray with different families in every hour of the day, creating a continuous wave of intercession across the region:

Monday: Smithton Church
Tuesday: Wynyard Church
Wednesday: Burnie Church
Thursday: Ulverstone Church
Friday: Devonport Church

Together, we are praying for:
Families
Our churches and local communities
The Tasmania Conference and our state
The Australian Union Conference and our nation, with a special focus on AUC for Christ 2027

The purpose of this initiative is to bring our churches together in prayer, strengthening unity across the Northwest Coast and aligning our hearts with God's mission. Through this shared commitment to prayer, we are seeking God's guidance, blessing, and leading for our churches, communities, and the work ahead.

Feedback from members across the coastal churches has been overwhelmingly positive:

"It's been so encouraging to see churches across the Northwest Coast coming together in prayer. We may be in different locations, but we are united in purpose."

"There seems to be a growing sense of spiritual momentum across the coast. As churches pray together, it feels like the spiritual temperature is rising."

"This initiative has reminded us that prayer is the foundation of mission. God is bringing our churches together and preparing us for what lies ahead."

"We sense the Holy Spirit leading in a special way, drawing people closer to Christ and creating stronger connections between our churches."

This prayer movement is more than a monthly initiative—it is part of a larger vision to become a prayer-focused church movement across the Northwest Coast. As we look toward AUC for Christ in 2027, we believe these united prayers are helping lay the spiritual foundation for what God desires to accomplish in our region and beyond.

To conclude and celebrate June for Jesus, churches from across the region are planning to come together on 4 July for a special time of worship, thanksgiving, fellowship, and reflection on what God has done throughout the month. This regional gathering will not only celebrate the spirit of unity that has been fostered through prayer but will also provide an opportunity to launch new initiatives for the remainder of 2026. As we seek God's leading together, we pray that this momentum will continue to grow, inspiring greater collaboration in prayer, discipleship, community engagement, and mission across the Northwest Coast.

May this Prayer Chain continue to draw us closer to Christ and to one another, as we become a people united in prayer, united in mission, and united in sharing the hope of Jesus.
