Thanks be to God! That's all we can say after a successful corroboree on Friday night. Photos from our parish's Annual Fundraising Dinner held at Campbelltown Catholic Club on the evening of Friday 25 August 2025. The idea for this fundraising project was introduced by the Ladies' Guild at our first Parish Trustees' Meeting in December 2021 in order to realise our vision for a place of worship for the Tongan Church in the southwest of Sydney, and since then, the households of the parish have whole-heartedly committed to holding this annual event.
Many thanks to the Leader of the Ladies' Guild, to the Guild Secretary and to the Golden Vase of the parish (as elderly dames are fondly called in Tongan churches) for the planning that went into this year's Dinner and for setting a wonderful example to our women, as well as to all the members of the Ladies' Guild for leading this cause. Many thanks to the Chieftain, to the Parish Steward and the Assistant Parish Steward and to all the gentlemen of the parish for standing by the Ladies' Guild despite all the challenges.
We also acknowledge all our honoured guests for the kindness and support they have shown this year and in previous years. To our dear relatives and friends, to the wife of the Superintendent Minister of the District and the Mafili-Lotu prayer group, to the Authorised Steward of the Laumālie-Mā'oni'oni parish in Minto and the Director of Music for the District and to all who were in attendance last night, as well as to those who could not make it, but who were with us in spirit, words are not enough to express our gratitude for your charity.
