Loved getting to hear from some of the wonderful men in our GWAC community today 💛

Across our three services, they shared some of the people who have shaped their faith, what following Jesus looks like in the everyday, and what they’re learning about the kind of men they want to be.

There was so much wisdom and honesty shared, and we loved how it brought some of what we’ve been exploring in James to life. Authentic faith isn’t about having it all figured out it’s something that keeps shaping us and works its way into how we actually live.

A huge thank you to Chrys & Shanley, Andrew, Dietrich & Harold, and Hamish, Paul & Dom for sharing a little of yourselves and your stories with us today. We loved hearing from you!

Tonight at our 5pm service, our intercessory prayers looked a little different. 🙏

We gathered around maps of the local council areas many of us call home and spent time praying our way through our neighbourhoods.

We prayed for our streets and neighbours, schools and workplaces, local leaders and community organisations, churches, families, and those in our communities who are doing it tough.

But our prayers for our neighbourhoods don’t need to finish when we leave church.

As you move through your week, whether you’re walking down your street, doing the school run, heading to work or passing through the local shops, take a moment to notice the people and places around you and pray for them.

Wherever you live, rest, study, work or spend your week, may we keep bringing our neighbourhoods before God. ❤️

Join us for our monthly Community Meal
Whether you're coming on your own, bringing the family or want to connect with some people from the area, everyone is welcome!
There will be table tennis, colouring, playdoh and chocolates for the kids to enjoy!

Tonight we're serving up a delicious curry night!

• Lentil & Chickpea Dhal with Rice
• Butter Chicken Curry
• Moroccan Chicken Curry
• Chicken Balti Curry

Over the past three days, members of the GWAC staff team have joined with leaders from across the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne for the 2026 Diocesan Ministry Conference.

It was a real encouragement to worship, pray, open God's Word, and discern together what God is calling us into in this next season.

While our churches and ministry contexts may look different, we are united by one God and a desire to see more people across Melbourne and Geelong come to know Jesus.

Jesus had compassion on the crowds…and reminds us that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest..." (Matthew 9:36–38). Throughout the conference, we were challenged to lift our eyes to Jesus' heart for the harvest and to faithfully join in the work his Spirit is already doing.

It was deeply encouraging to see the Holy Spirit moving as leaders from across our Diocese gathered and prayed together.

Would you join us in praying for our wider church?
🤍 That we would keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and the plentiful harvest.
🤍 For wisdom and unity as our Diocese continues to discern the new emerging vision and strategy.
🤍 For faithful, healthy churches that reflect the love of Christ.
