What a special Easter weekend at GWAC 🤍

On Good Friday, we gathered to reflect on the cross through interactive elements and dramatic readings. It was a powerful space to pause and sit in the weight of the moment… but also to remember that the cross is not the end of the story.

Grateful for everyone who helped create these spaces, and for all who came and were part of it 💛

What a great night around tables
Our Community Meal: Celebrating the First Lord’s Supper felt really special. There was so much good conversation, and it was so lovely seeing people from all different parts of our community come together.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, cooked, set up, welcomed, hosted tables, donate, decorated and stayed to pack down. So much of what made the night special came from the way you showed up and created space for others.

We’re really excited about continuing these Community Meals and creating more opportunities for people to gather and connect.

With the movie we'll have snack bags, plus some crafts.
Parents are welcome for a Coffee/ BBQ /chat at pick-up.

Young Adults Games Night is coming up 🎮🎲

Easter is coming up, and we’d love to invite you to join us at GWAC.

The cross can look like the end of the story.
But Easter reminds us there’s more still to come.
What looked like the end became the beginning of something new.

We’ll be gathering across Good Friday and Easter Sunday to reflect and celebrate together.

On Good Friday, we’ll have an all ages interactive service at 10am.
On Easter Sunday, you can join us at 8am for a traditional service, or at 10:30am and 5pm, with kids programs and an Easter egg hunt.

Whether you’re part of GWAC or simply looking for somewhere to come this Easter, you are very welcome here.

✨ Last Sunday was such a joy as we celebrated Lunar New Year together after church. ✨
Our English and Mandarin congregations came together around one big shared table, packed with delicious food and the beautiful mix of cultures and traditions that make up our church family.

A huge thank you to Rev Ginger and the Mandarin Congregation for sharing more about what Lunar New Year is. We are so grateful for your hospitality and leadership. And thank you to all the volunteers who set up tables and chairs, served food and stayed back to wash dishes and pack everything down. These moments only happen because people are willing to jump in and help.

As GWAC, we love celebrating. So if there’s a cultural celebration or tradition that matters to you, we’d love to hear about it. Reach out and let us know. 💛

✨ Creative Family Service – This Sunday! ✨

Families, we would LOVE you to join us this Sunday at 10:30am at GWAC for our Creative Family Service!

As we continue journeying through the book of Revelation, we’ll be exploring Revelation 4 & 5 a powerful picture of worship and hope.

We’re especially excited to be celebrating Baptisms during the service 💛 It is such a joy to witness families publicly declaring their faith together.

With creative elements and opportunities for all the kids to be involved, we’d love you to gather with us.

When you hear the name Jesus…what comes to mind?

Revelation 1 reminds us He is the Alpha and the Omega, the One who is, who was, and who is to come.

Maria encouraged us with this truth:
Jesus isn’t out there somewhere far away.
He is in the midst of the lampstands.
In the middle of His people.
Among His church.
That means He is with us. Here. Today.

So we’d love to hear from you!!

✨ YA Retreat Recap ✨
Last weekend our young adults gathered for their retreat!
Organised and led by our incredible YA Committee, the retreat brought together 55 young adults for a weekend of connection, deep conversations, prayer, reflection, late night Maccas runs and a whole lot of laughs.

Together, they explored the theme of identity...who God says we are and how we live that out in everyday life.

💬 One young adult said..."I got to hang out with people I wouldn't normally spend time with...it was really nice"

We’re so grateful for every young adult who showed up and for all those who were praying for them while they were away!
