Burwood UC Messy Church

Burwood UC Messy Church Burwood UC Messy Church gathers for fun, creativity, worship and a shared meal on the 4th Saturday from February to November at 5-7pm.

Burwood UC Messy Church gathers once a month on Saturday for fun, creativity, worship and to share a meal. We provide a friendly, relaxed environment for families of all types; carers and adults to experience a different type of worship. We incorporate fun activities; games; interactive stories and a meal as well as worship.

“this is a worshipping community of all ages, centred in Christ, showing

Christian hospitality- giving people the chance to express their creativity, to sit down together to eat a meal and have fun within a church context”* Some principles followed are:
1. To introduce people to Jesus through hospitality, friendship, stories and worship.
2. To provide an opportunity for people of all ages to worship together.
3. To help people have fun while expressing their God-given creativity together.
4. To invite people into an experience of Christian community, where they feel they belong to a church and to each other

Dear friends. After much discussion, prayer and reflection, the Messy Church leaders have decided to cease having monthly gatherings as we seek inspiration and God's guidance towards a new way of having Christ-centred, inter-generational, fun, celebratory gatherings.
Thank you to all the families and people who came to our Messy Church gatherings, your support and participation is greatly appreciated. We hope you will reconnect with us in whatever the future holds.
This page will be retained, and will transition over time to represent our new arrangements. Please keep checking in to see what we are up to!
