🪷 Mother’s Day Flower Offering of Gratitude

Lunch will be served from 12:30pm – 3:00pm, and the Buddha Bathing ritual will remain open until 3:00pm.

During the ceremony, there will also be a special Mother’s Day Flower Offering of Gratitude. Everyone is warmly welcome to bring their mums along to join in this beautiful offering. 🌸

On Sunday, 29 March 9.30am to 4.30pm the Ching Ming Ksh*tigarbha Bodhisattva Blessing & Memorial Ceremony will be held at Bao Lin.

9.30am: Chanting Ksh*tigarbha Sutra Scroll I, Grand Meal Offering to Buddhas and Blessing Service

12.30pm: Dharma Talk, Chanting Ksh*tigarbha Sutra Scroll II and Scroll III

3.30pm: The Meng Shan Food Bestowal and Memorial Service

The Ching Ming (Ancestral Memorial) Ceremony provides an opportunity to honor ancestors and dedicate merits to deceased family members, ancestors, and all beings. You are welcome to join the ceremony and register tablets for living or deceased family members and friends.

Tablet registration closes on 29 March.

Bao Lin Vegfest 2025: A Journey to Compassion Station
🚂🥗🥙🫓🌮🫜🌶️🍐🫛🥦🥬🧆🍝🥮

On 20 December 2025, Bao Lin Chan Monastery hosted its annual Bao Lin Vegfest under the theme “Bao Lin Compassion Station.” The event brought together disciples, volunteers, students, families, friends, and neighbors for a joyful and peaceful year-end gathering. It offered a meaningful opportunity to share the monastery’s ongoing work and positive community impact, while warmly welcoming local residents and visitors, fostering connection, understanding, and a shared spirit of compassion. More than 860 participants “boarded the Vegfest train,” with many walk-in visitors also joining the day.

Vegfest is an annual celebration, showcasing Bao Lin as a Zen meditative mind-space, and an invitation to experience mindfulness as part of everyday life. To guide participants on this journey, each symbolic “train ticket” granted access to eight experiential stations, each offering meditation practices that can be naturally integrated into daily living.

As you can see, it was a fun, colourful, informative, and delicious day overall! 😊🙏
