The fourth instalment of the series on the use of aborted foetal cells in vaccines covers the excuse given to use such things; the Common Good. In this fourth instalment Father Ambrose shows how the concept of the Common Good, which is part of Catholic social doctrine, has been unduly exploited to justify mass vaccination and other extreme measures taken during the so-called pandemic. This is longer than we usually publish but very thorough in explaining this aspect.

God bless you all

Written by Fr Ambrose Astor Original publication in https://www.truedevotions.ie/the-common-good   In his third article on “Charity and Vaccines,” Father Ambrose debunked the claim that getting vaccinated was “the loving thing to do”. In this fourth instalment he shows how the concept of th...

This week we have 3 articles for you.

The first is from LifeSite News and involves the harrowing story of a woman who murdered her children and apparently, in cold blood. The Lindsay Clancy case from January 2023 in the USA has garnered interest around the world and has attracted $1million US to a GoFundMe account to support her and women protesting with signs saying “same Lindsay” outside the court house and other places. This article is more about the dissolution of marriage and the apparent antipathy in modern society between men and women. What is happening? Why is it happening? I personally know of what seemed like “good catholic marriages” falling apart with seemingly no chance of reconciliation and the wives accusing their husbands of terrible things and enacting buzz words employed by radical feminists to garner support; “stalking,” “coercive control” and others.

The article asks more questions than provides answers, but it is at least beginning a discussion very much needed. Please read the article and send us your thoughts if you wish.

The second article comes from "The Catholic Thing” a term coined by G K Chesterton and a website I have followed for many years. This excellent article by Fr Gerald Murray looks at the issue of “Synodality which we are being told is the way forward for the Catholic Church. I thought "all things come together under Christ” and that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!” Maybe St Paul got it wrong? What do you think? Perhaps those pushing this lunacy got it wrong? Father Gerald Murray asks some excellent questions in this article.

Thirdly we have the 3rd instalment from our series on vaccines “Charity and vaccines.” You may ask why we are republishing these articles? Good question as they are specifically addressing the covid vaccines. Surely that is past history? Well the answer is, hopefully it is past history but I don’t think so. More importantly though the principle problem with these vaccines is a moral one. That is the development and testing of them on aborted foetal cell lines. The second aspect, also a moral problem, is the enforcement of such vaccines against someone’s own conscience. Whether or not you think vaccines generally are a good thing is irrelevant to these problems. Further and very importantly, many vaccines are developed and tested on aborted foetal cell lines and more stridently are they being pushed on parents especially and the elderly. In other words this is a growing and serious problem that needs to be addressed.

Last week we republished the excellent article by Fr Ambrose Astor (a pseudonym) on “Conscience and Vaccines.” This week we republish the 2nd article in the series “Prudence and Vaccines.” In the very good book of daily meditations “Divine Intimacy” the author in speaking of Prudence says “When Jesus says 'the children of this world are wiser than the children of light’ (Luke 16;8) He certainly meant to remind us to be more prudent and circumspect in doing good, but He had no intention of encouraging us to use the illicit means which the children of darkness use so freely. We should not think that our prudence is outdone by the prudence of the world because we make use of honourable means only. In opposing the intrigues and deceptions which we can in no wise reciprocate, we have at our disposal a much more powerful means, one which will always be victorious: recourse to God by prayer and sacrifice.

“Create a clean heart in me, O God and renew a right spirit within me. Teach me Your ways that I might follow Your truth. Give me temperance and prudence, justice and fortitude, for nothing is more profitable to me.” (cf. Ps 50 - Wis 8:7).

Written by Fr. Ambrose Astor Published by Lumen Fidei Institute https://www.lumenfidei.ie Prudence is the mother of all the other virtues. We all need it, but none more than priests, doctors and politicians, especially when it comes to moral questions linked to the COVID-19 ‘vaccines’. Father Am...

We also republish from Archbishop Julian Porteous’ blog the second part on Eduard Hapsburg and the family. This is well worth reading and serious consideration. How many people considered “elite” or privileged speak like this? "As the Christian life is focussed on a living relationship with God so a couple should also have as their focus a relationship with God realised in prayer. Eduard Hapsburg is convinced that a foundation in God is the necessary recipe for a stable and happy marriage. He simply says in his book, “Family and faith are so intimately intertwined.”
