Bible Sunday: today we wrapped up our mini season of celebration with Bible Sunday with guest preacher the Rev’d Bruce Hicks from the Parish of Mannum/Mt. Pleasant in the Diocese of The Murray. Bruce ministered with Fr. Scott, worked with his wife & was principal of Tyndale Christian School when our parishioner Audrey was there. It was a joy to welcome him as he explored how the scriptures are a story of love that sets us free.

On Monday 8 June, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, causing serious damage in General Santos City and surrounding areas.

At least 37 people have been killed and buildings, roads and bridges have been destroyed. Authorities continue to search for the missing; tens of thousands of people have been displaced.

ABM staff have been in contact with Anglican partners in the Philippines, ECP.Official and Vimrod Ifi, and so far they confirm there has been no direct impact on their staff or communities.

🙏 Let us pray:

Lord, we hold before you all those affected by the recent earthquake centred off Mindanao in the southern Philippines.

Receive any who lost their lives into your loving embrace.

Uphold all whose housing or businesses have been damaged or destroyed.

Help the authorities to repair roads and bridges, and restore the provision of electricity, especially to hospitals.

Give strength to the people as they endure not only the physical circumstances surrounding the quake, but the psychological resilience needed to cope with any aftershocks.

We ask this in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.

Funeral information for our sister in Christ, Margaret Elwood are here. May Margaret, & all the faithful departed, though the love and mercy of God, Rest in Peace & rise in glory.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend the funeral service for the late Mrs Margaret Rosemary Elwood, to be held on Monday, 27 April 2026 at The Church of the Resurrection, 6 Honour Avenue, Mount Macedon, commencing at 2:00 pm. In honour of Margaret's love of gardens, guests are encouraged....
