7pm - St. Brigids Gisborne & 7pm - St. Ambrose Woodend with the Church staying open till 9.30pm

Friday 3rd April - Stations of the Cross

Friday 3rd April – Good Friday - Passion of the Lord
3pm - St. Mary's Lancefield & 3pm - St. Brigids Gisborne

Stations of the Cross scheduled for 7pm in Woodend has been cancelled tonight.

Fr. John has been delayed in Sydney and will not be available.

Weekend Masses will run as normal except St Patrick's in Macedon which will be closed until further notice due to damage sustained in the recent storm.

Sorry for the late notice and thank you for your understanding.

This program invites us to recognise that God created each one of us with great attention and loving care. God knows us intimately, and we are special to God in our uniqueness.

When we open the doors of our hearts to this truth, everything in our life changes. We glow from within, and we begin treating others as beloved children of God.

Through this program, we hope people will be spiritually uplifted as they come to trust the great love of God.

World Day of Prayer will be celebrated at
St Mary’s Romsey at 10.30am
St Paul’s Gisborne at 10am.

All are invited to join our local churches in prayer.

LENTEN OBSERVANCES AND LITURGICAL PRACTICES
Fasting and Abstaining from Meat:

On Ash Wednesday and Good Friday we are called to fast and abstain from meat. Fasting means consuming one meal and two smaller meals that together do not equal a full meal, with no eating between meals, unless health or work conditions make it impractical.

ASH WEDNESDAY AND LENT: Burning of Palm Branches

Tuesday 17th February at 7pm, in preparation for Ash Wednesday, we will gather for a ceremony to burn the palm branches from last year, followed by supper.

You are invited to gather in the grounds of St Ambrose Woodend, followed by a shared supper in the presbytery. You are invited to bring a plate to share.

Please bring palm branches with you.

Dear Friends,

I invite you to join other Parishioners in celebrating the patron of our Parish, St Brigid of Ireland, on Sunday the 1st of February.

This celebration will begin with Mass at 10:30am in St Brigid's Church, followed by fellowship in the Parish Hall.

Please bring a "Plate to Share."

Tea, coffee and a glass of wine to toast to St Brigid will be provided.
There will be fruit juice packs for the children and a lolly bag.

Come and Celebrate the feast of St Brigid.
