As everyone knows on the 12th September the diocese is holding its first Nayrouz Family Festival! St Moses’ contribution to the event is buying as my uch drinks as we can. The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Melbourne will come together in one heart and one spirit to celebrate the joyous Feast of El Nayrouz – the Coptic New Year.

On Saturday 12 September 2026, we warmly invite every Parish, every family and every member of our Diocese to gather for this special day of faith, fellowship and celebration in the presence of His Grace Bishop Rewis, together with our beloved Clergy.

El Nayrouz is a time to remember the steadfast faith of the saints and martyrs, to give thanks for God’s countless blessings and to rejoice as one united Church. This Diocese-wide festival is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite us as one family in Christ while celebrating our rich Coptic Orthodox heritage.

This blessed milestone marks an important step towards establishing a permanent church home for our congregation and future generations.
