We’re thankful for the long partnership St John’s has shared with CMS and for the faithful ministry of Jon & Debs in Southeast Asia.

Join CMS Victoria for this Thanksgiving & Release Celebration as we give thanks to God for all he has done through their ministry, and pray for this next season ahead.

On Sunday we had the joy of hearing from Calvin & Tessa Schultink and the work God is continuing to do through their ministry with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES).

As former members of St John's Highton, it was especially encouraging to welcome them back in person at our 10am service, with this video update also shared at our 8am and 5pm congregations.

Please continue to pray for Calvin as he serves students through university ministry, and for both Calvin & Tessa in this season of ministry, work, and study.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to partner with them in making Jesus known at university.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌸

Today we give thanks for the women in our church family — for the love, care, wisdom, strength and faithfulness shown in countless seen and unseen ways.

“Honour her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
Proverbs 31:31

Men’s Breakfast 🍳

All men aged 16+ are warmly invited to join us on Saturday 30 May at 7:30am for a relaxed and encouraging morning together.

We’re hoping this might help cultivate something of a Men’s Ministry amongst us at St John’s — a space for encouragement, fellowship, and connection across our church community.

There’ll be good food, good conversation, and an opportunity to hear a personal testimony together.

A focused 90 minutes of encouragement, discipleship, support, and prayer as we begin Term 2.

While not compulsory, it’s a really valuable time together. We value highly the ministry of our Small Groups and want leaders to feel equipped and supported.

Anzac Day

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
— John 15:13

On this day of remembrance, we give thanks for those who have served and sacrificed —
and we remember the greater love of Christ, who laid down his life for us all.

Lest we forget.

Term 2 Sermon Series

This term we’re in the Gospel of John, focusing on chapters 13–16 — often called the Farewell Discourse.

Here, Jesus prepares his disciples for his departure — speaking words of promise, comfort, and direction as the cross approaches.

Though he would return to them after his resurrection, he would also leave again — and promises to come again for us.

There is much here for us to learn, to trust, and to follow.
