🙏 A Prayer for all who need in Our Parish .

Loving God,
today we hold in our hearts all those within our parish who are facing illness, uncertainty or difficult days.

Bring them your peace when they are afraid,
your strength when they are weary,
and your comfort when the road feels long.

May they feel surrounded by love, held in prayer, and never alone.

Bring healing where it is needed, hope where there is worry, and courage for each new day.

Like the stillness of the sea beneath the morning sun,
may your peace settle gently over each of us.

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10

What’s Happening at Church?

A little glimpse of life at Christ Church Geelong ⛪️✨

From today’s worship, the people who make our church community what it is, the little moments behind the scenes… to all the wonderful things we have coming up.

There’s always something happening at church worship, community, serving, sharing, preparing and making space for everyone.

So here’s a little peek at today, tomorrow and what’s coming next. 🤍

Table of food 🥘 As part of her community engagement Cadet Flight Sergeant Mackenzie Barber, of Air Cadet Squadron 427, spearheaded a collection of non-perishable food stuffs for us and invited us to speak to about 40 cadets. The delivery of the items made a great display before being distributed.

Sunday club (kids club) the 3rd Sunday of month

What We Learned Today 🌿

Today we learned about Mary and Noah and what their stories teach us about trusting God.

And a Beautiful ark was brought in for us to enjoy by a talented woodworking and painter . 🧑‍🎨 loyal members of congregation.
Who would have thought so much love ❤️ could be had from Noah’s ark .
Everybody enjoyed it .

And the choir was absolutely beautiful I have taped choir rehearsal.

But also Lord’s Prayer sung .

Will share in their own post .

🙏 A Sunday Prayer
9 August 🙏

It may be a rainy morning, but as we wake today, remember this… you are never alone. 🤍☔️

Even on the darkest days, light finds its way through. ✨

Heavenly Father,

As we begin this Sunday, quiet our hearts and remind us that we do not walk through life alone.

Thank You for the gift of a new day, for the people we love, for the moments of joy, and even for the challenges that help us grow.

Where there is worry, bring peace.
Where there is sadness, bring comfort.
Where there is weariness, bring strength.
Where there is uncertainty, bring hope.

Help us to be kind today , to ourselves and to others.
May our words bring encouragement, our actions bring love, and our lives reflect Your light.

Bless our families, our friends, our community and all those who are struggling quietly. May they feel Your presence and know they are never forgotten.

Lord, guide us through the week ahead. Give us courage for what we cannot change, wisdom for what we can, and faith to place it all into Your hands.

May your Sunday be filled with peace, love and the gentle presence of God.

Amen. 🤍🕊️

GREAT NEWS DAY

💜 Wonderful news for our community! 💜

We are incredibly proud to announce that Christ Church Geelong’s Community Meals Program has been awarded a $25,000 Annual Grant from the Give Where You Live Foundation.

This funding will help us continue providing nutritious meals, friendship, support, and a welcoming place for members of our community. Every meal shared is an opportunity to connect, care, and remind people they are valued.

We are sincerely grateful to the Give Where You Live Foundation, its generous donors, and community partners for investing in local initiatives that create lasting change across Geelong.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our amazing volunteers, supporters, and everyone who helps make our Community Meals Program possible. This grant recognises the incredible difference you make every week.

Together, we look forward to continuing to serve our community with compassion, dignity, and hope. 💜

Tonight, while many of us are warm and dry, this incredible team is standing out in the cold, the rain and the darkness, welcoming cars with smiles and ambassadors of our church family .
Every car they park helps raise funds that support the Church and mission of Christ Church. Their generosity isn’t gone on noticed. we are grateful Our path in faith isn’t just measured in hours, it is measured in small things That our parishioners do and faith and quiet acts of service.
