One of the beautiful things about community is getting the chance to give back to those who have generously supported us.

Over the past couple of years, Red Dove Cafe has helped make a real difference at Transform, including supporting our playground and Op Shop.

This September, we have a simple opportunity to be part of what they’re doing too.

If serving a shift at the Royal Adelaide Show sounds like something you’d enjoy, Red Dove would love to have you on the team.

Red Dove Cafe needs all sorts of people during the Royal Adelaide Show:

☕ Comfortable making coffee? There’s a spot for you.

🍽 Love chatting with people? Front of house could be perfect.

👩‍🍳 Happy helping behind the scenes? Jump into the kitchen.

🍟 Know your way around a schnitzel and some chips? They need you too!

Red Dove has generously supported Transform through funding for our playground and Op Shop, and we’d love to see some of our community get behind them during the Show.

Here’s another place where the generosity of Red Dove Cafe is making a difference.

As we work towards the next chapter of our Op Shop, Red Dove has been one of the organisations that has helped make it possible through their financial support.

So when they told us they needed volunteers at the Royal Adelaide Show, we wanted to help spread the word.

From 4 to 13 September, Red Dove needs people who can give a shift serving in the cafe.

From our community, for our community. ❤️

Our Winter Warmers donations have now made their way to UCare Gawler.

Over the past few weeks, people from our Gawler and Williamstown congregations, along with many people who use our facilities throughout the week, have been adding goods to our FOR stands.

And this week, we had the privilege of handing the collection over to the team at UCare Gawler.

They’re the ones who will now help get these goods into the hands of local people who need them.

We’re grateful for the work UCare does across our community, and we’re grateful for every person who played a part in this collection.

What started with a couple of crates in a workshop became something much bigger because people chose to contribute.

Thank you for helping us be FOR our community. ❤️

And thank you, UCare Gawler, for the way you continue to care for people across our region.

Could you give one shift at this year’s Royal Adelaide Show? 🎡

Red Dove Cafe has been a generous supporter of Transform over the past two years, contributing funding towards our playground and Op Shop.

Now they could use our help.

They’re looking for volunteers from 4 to 13 September to:

☕ Make coffee
🍽 Serve front of house
👩‍🍳 Help in the kitchen
🍟 Make schnitzel and chips

And there’s a nice bonus:

🎟 Entry to the Royal Adelaide Show for your shift
🍽 A meal at Red Dove Cafe

**Then something pretty cool happened. ❤️**

When we started our Winter Warmers Campaign, we invited our Gawler and Williamstown congregations to help fill the FOR stands with goods for people in need.

But it didn’t stay there.

Throughout the week, plenty of other people come through our buildings for groups, activities and events.

They saw the crates. And they started contributing too. We didn’t ask them to.

They just saw an opportunity to help and decided to be part of it.

That might be our favourite part of this whole campaign.

Because caring for our community isn’t something that belongs to one church or one group of people.

**It’s something we can all be part of.**

So whether you contributed on a Sunday or dropped something in while you were here during the week, thank you.

You helped fill these crates. ❤️

And next stop: **UCare Gawler.**

Who really knows you? 🤔 In a world full of surface level connections, we were created for something deeper. Meaningful friendships that reflect God’s own community.
It’s not just about having people around, but about being known and knowing others well enough to carry each other’s burdens. It’s costly, it’s vulnerable, but it’s what we were made for.
This week, ask a friend, “How are you really?” and see where that conversation takes you.

Now there’s an opportunity for us to get behind them.

Red Dove Cafe is looking for volunteers during the Royal Adelaide Show from 4 to 13 September.

You could help in the kitchen, serve front of house, make coffee or even spend a shift making schnitzel and chips.

And as a thank you, volunteers receive entry to the Show for their shift plus a meal at Red Dove Cafe.

We built the crates. You helped fill them. ❤️

A few weeks ago, our Lead Pastor Josh Scherer and his daughters spent some time in the workshop building a couple of crates.

The plan was pretty simple.
Create some FOR stands at Transform UC Gawler and Williamstown and invite our church community to fill them with goods for people doing it tough this winter.

And you did.

Little by little, the crates started filling up.

Food. Warm clothes. Everyday essentials. Simple things that can make a real difference when life is hard.

It was great fun building the crates.

But seeing what happened once we put them out was even better.

We built them. You filled them.

Thank you to everyone who got our Winter Warmers Campaign started. ❤️
