Church Working Bee – This Saturday
Our next Working Bee is happening this Saturday 12 September from 8:00am to 12:00pm at Galston Uniting Church. There are always plenty of jobs to tackle as we care for our church and grounds, and every extra pair of hands makes a difference. Come for the whole morning or just lend a hand for an hour or two. Morning tea is provided, along with the usual good company and plenty of laughs. We’d love your help!

Gentle Exercise is on Tuesdays!
A little change to our usual routine! Gentle Exercise is currently meeting on Tuesdays from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Galston Uniting Church. Come along for an hour of gentle movement, friendly conversation and plenty of encouragement, all at your own pace. Whether you’re a regular or would like to try it for the first time, everyone is welcome.

Tai Chi & Meditation – This Friday
Take a little time for yourself this Friday from 11:00am to 12:15pm at Galston Uniting Church. Our weekly Tai Chi & Meditation class offers a peaceful mix of gentle movement, mindful breathing and quiet reflection, all in a relaxed and friendly environment. Come along, slow down and enjoy some calm at the end of the week. Newcomers are always welcome.

A Spring Afternoon of Beautiful Music
There’s something rather special about live music on a Sunday afternoon, and our next Galston Concert promises to be a beautiful one. Cellist Rachel Scott and harpist Genevieve Lang will join forces for a programme featuring Bach, Mendelssohn, Elena Kats-Chernin, Fauré and more, all in the peaceful bushland setting of Galston Uniting Church.

Men’s Choir Breakfast
The Galston Uniting Men’s Choir is getting together this Saturday 5 September for an early start, good food and, of course, plenty of singing!
7:00am Breakfast. Bring something to share
8:30am The singing begins!
This gathering is not being held at Galston Uniting Church, so please contact the Church Office if you’d like to come along and need details of the venue. Whether you’re already part of the choir or would like to join in, we’d love to have you there. Come for breakfast, stay for a song!

Cello, Harp & a Spring Afternoon of Music
Our next Galston Concert is just a few weeks away, bringing the beautiful sounds of cello and harp to the bushland setting of Galston Uniting Church. Australian cellist Rachel Scott, founder of Bach in the Dark, will be joined by acclaimed harpist and ABC Classic presenter Genevieve Lang for an afternoon of music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Elena Kats-Chernin, Fauré and more.
Two friends, two beautiful instruments and a wonderful programme of music. Then, of course, there’s afternoon tea afterwards! Invite a friend and enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon of music with us.

Happy Monday “Here I am.” Exodus 3:4
Yesterday, our bare burning bush slowly came to life as members of our congregation added their names, each hand becoming part of something much bigger. Like Moses, we don’t always need to know exactly what comes next. Sometimes our response to God can simply begin with “Here I am.”
What a beautiful reminder that our church is made up of many hands, many names and many stories, all called to be part of God’s work. We loved watching our mural grow throughout the morning, so we thought we’d share it with you. Happy Monday from Galston Uniting Church!
