AGM: Thank you to all our parishioners who came to the Annual Meeting. This was held on June 15. Some parishioners still need to complete their church membership– these last for 3 years. All are kept safely by the Parish so privacy is considered important.

Choir:

Don’t forget that we are still singing in 2025 and we sang for the Patronal Sunday which celebrates Stephen – the first martyr – on August 3rd. We will now start looking for some special Christmas hymns for Christmas Day – no practice for a while unless something else happens. You are welcome to join us. Occasionally now we are also singing during communion and everyone can join us.

The next social event will be on October 4th for a Bingo afternoon – more information from the Social Committee later or talk to Maureen Cooke.

Mission Action:

Please remember to bring the donation jar’s in as they are beginning to work as everyone gets used to them. Talk to Sue if you want more information. The first donation for the year is still to go to New Guinea to help the people in that area and we are asked to bring them in as soon as possible.

Book Club:

This group met on Tuesday 29th of July for the meeting. The last book was “Boy swallows Universe by Trent Dalton”. Not the best book in the world.

Our new book is “The Land before Avocado by Richard Glover” .Certainly brought back many memories. The meeting is usually the last Tuesday of the month at 10.00am - all welcome. Our next meeting for 2025 will be on August 26th.
