What a great night it was last night!!! Thanks to all those parents, grandparents, friends and carers who stepped away from the mid-week hustle to listen, share, connect and grow! So thankful to Matt, Susy, Lucinda and Ainsley for bringing great thoughts to the night. I’m sure everyone walked away inspired as they consider how to connect, converse and give time to their kids! There’ll be more family dinners, more discussions, more reading and more modelling as a result of people spending this night together- and that’s what it’s all about!!!! .lee.16

We are so privileged to have some amazing speakers sharing with us in a few weeks. Register now for the parenting seminar to hear from some people who have written books, talked to hundreds of kids and teens, have raised kids, are thoughtful about parenting and who have a passion to see others thrive at home and in life! It was a joy to gather together today for Mothers Day. It was wonderful to celebrate the mums near and far, those no longer with us, those mothers of the future, the mother figures, grandmothers and god mothers… everyone’s beautiful flower drawings were a great way to name the special people in our life and thank God for them! 🌷

We find it hard to delight because we think joy comes after the work is done.
We only stop when we trust who’s in charge.

Does your life have no margin? Do you find it hard to rest? Maybe everyone else is busy and you feel alone. Rhythms of rest are built into every living thing. When we fail to rest, we fail ourselves and others. On the first Sunday of each month at Forest Baptist we will explore real life rhythms of rest, interviewing people from with our church community and beyond. To rest & reset, join us this Sunday!

The Newcomers Lounge is open today! On the last Sunday of the month, we invite those visiting and new to Forest Baptist to join the staff and leaders for a morning tea after the service. This happens alongside our regular morning tea - but gives an opportunity to meet the team, ask questions and explore getting involved. Join us in the cafe area directly after the service! Anyone welcome.

We’re excited to be back at it and ready for amazing year of community and growth at Forest Baptist. We have some fun events like Campfire kids holiday program and a men’s event planned. We are exploring ‘selah’ and taking a monthly pause to reflect on life and faith. We’ll host a parenting seminar to invest deeply in parenting the next generation. And we have our kids and youth ministry starting back. If you’re looking for a place to explore faith, grow, pause and connect, then come for coffee each Sunday at 9am, followed by a 9.30am gathering. All welcome each Sunday.
