PENTECOST SYNOD UPDATE
My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

A very blessed Pentecost to you all! At this time, we celebrate the Church founded by Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in particular. We have been listening together to the Holy Spirit in this Diocese through the process of discernment, leading towards our Diocesan Synod later this year. It is a spiritual process with the intent to forward the mission of Christ in our Diocese.

At this holy time, I would like to thank everyone who has been part of the discernment so far. I felt a great uplifting from the face-to-face gatherings we had at deanery level. For now, I invite everyone to read, reflect and pray on the newly-published Working Document or Instrumentum Laboris, which will shape the Agenda of the Synod. Our next Phase of Small Group Gatherings is crucial, and I look forward to hearing of all the seeds of the Spirit growing around our Diocese. Please take the time to gather your group or family over the next few months.

We keep on the journey together, like that first community of disciples, to grow in faith and share the Good News. As the Synod process continues, I hope you can all join me in prayer, in spirit and in person, continuing that great message of Jesus, “Peace be with you.”

Finally, in this month of Mary, we keep asking the intercession of our Blessed Mother in trust. Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Pray for us.
