The Lutheran Men's Shed of Ipswich will be next meeting from 6pm on Thursday 23rd April 2026 at our shed located on Bethany School grounds, 126 Cascade Street, Raceview.

Our invited guest speaker will by Mr. Ross Wadsworth from the RSL Ipswich Sub branch.

Ross will be talking about the history of ANZAC, their presents and upholding their future in Ipswich.

Today, the Lutheran Men's Shed of Ipswich held a Men's Breakfast at our Shed on Bethany's School Grounds, with 33 Men attending.

It has been a long time between meals.

Breakfast of Bacon, Eggs, Cheese & Relish rolls were amazing, and side dishes of ShipWrecked Beans, Beans & Bacon, and Lamb's Fry & Onion Gravey were garnished with Garlic & Shallots, enhanced the event.

It must have been good, as there were no leftovers.

A huge Thank You goes out to all who attended and to our Pastors for their valued leadership & support for this wonderful ministry.

The Lutheran Men's Shed of Ipswich will hold their first event of 2026 on Thursday 26th February 2026, at our home shed 126 Cascade Street, Raceview.

The event will commence around 6:30 pm with a Meet & Greet, followed by a meal then hearing from our invited guest speaker, finishing with devotion.

Our invited guest speaker for this event is Mr Paul Wust, who will be sharing with us, his recent experiences of World Travel, forming relationships with new people, learning of new Cultures & their foods, and some thoughts on how we can come together as Men.

A donation tin will be available and please bring a friend.

Gentlemen of the Lutheran Men's Shed of Ipswich,

Our next Shed event will be held on Thursday 27th November 2025, in our Shed on Bethany School grounds.

Your invited Guest Speaker will be our Mr Ron Alback, who will be talking about the recent "National Historical Machinery Rally" held from 23rd to 31st August 2025 at Kingsthorpe. The rally featured "Steaming under the Southern Cross". Ron's working career as a Qld Rail train driver, commenced with working Steam Trains and his interest in Steam Power has never been far from his heart.

As this event will be our last get together for this year, Delma has made two (2) Christmas Puddings and a Christmas Cake for the event. You will be feasting on one of the Christmas Puddings, and an auction will be held where the highest bidder will choose between a Christmas Pudding or a Christmas Cake. What is left will then be raffled with everyone attending this event will receive one free ticket, and you can increase your chances of winning by purchasing tickets for $1 each.

As I am unable to attend this event, I wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year.

Join us on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Shed, where we’ll welcome guest speaker Peter Adams. Peter will share his incredible adventures as a long-serving member of the Variety Bash—an event where teams travel across Australia to raise funds for kids in need.

Each Bash car commits to raising $8,500, but on average, teams raise $15,000 thanks to generous support. What makes the Bash special? Participants get to meet some of the kids they’ve directly helped along the way!
