Today we celebrate a very important birthday being the the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ.

It was lovely to see the many new (and returning) faces at last night's ceremonies.

Despite having a big night (saying masses ☺️) Fr Boy is again hard at work this morning at our 9am Christmas mass 🎄

Thanks to Frank for volunteering to give up his morning and help shift our sign closer to the street as it has been hidden behind the garden. We are grateful for all our hardworking volunteers at St Matthews.

Today we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Fr Francis Buhagiar ordination. Fr Buhagiar started as the Assistant Priest at st Matthews in 1972, before moving parishes 4 years later.

Also, congratulations to the 3 winners of our Parish Fundraising raffle today with over $1500 being raised to help support the parish. Thank you to Vicky who is kindly donating her hamper to St Vincent De Paul to be distributed to needy people during this festive time.

Finally, we thanked our former Parish Secretary Krys Hermann for her years our service to our Parish.
Krys joined our office in 2009 and retired this year.

Getting ready for Christmas , many thanks to our young helpers who had fun cleaning the church and removing the tape markings as we finally enjoying fewer restrictions.

While Vaccination status is no longer required to attend our masses, please remember that you must still sign in via QR code on entry.

And don't forget to return your raffle tickets by tomorrow for our draw this Sunday. 🎄
