Happy Father’s Day!

We are thankful for all the men in our church and the roles you have as fathers, uncles, spiritual dads, brothers, grandfathers and more. Here’s some of our Fairfield 10:30 church men today.

🙏🏼 Our prayer is…

Today on Father’s Day, give thanks for all of the men in our church and pray they would be growing in Christ-likeness as they seek to know God and live out his word faithfully.

Pray that those who are husbands and fathers would sacrificially serve their families, modelling humility, compassion, dependency on Christ.

Give thanks for the fathers, grandpas, uncles, spiritual uncles and brothers who have sought to share the gospel with those in their lives. Please bless them in their relationships.

Pray that all the men in our church would encourage each other to live for Christ every day. Pray also for God's comfort for those for whom Father's Day is hard as they grieve broken relationships or unfulfilled longings.

Pray we would all draw closer to our loving Heavenly Father, knowing he loves us, disciplines us, cares for us and provides for us according to his perfect will.

Amen

Today in church we will be praying for those affected by the devastating landslide and floods in Nepal and Tibet this week 😢 🙏🏼

- Pray that people will get immediate reliefs, place for shelters, prompt medical treatments for those who are injured. This is hard because of bridges destroyed.
- Pray that God would save the lives of survivors who are still trapped or missing, and would protect children, the elderly and people with disabilities.
- Pray for rescue teams, local authorities and humanitarian workers, that God would sustain them and give them wisdom and skill as they seek to help people.
- Pray for families who have lost their loved ones and or lost their homes and livelihoods, that God would give them comfort and relief. Pray that he would also move in them to seek the true comfort and hope that only comes through Jesus.
- Pray for local churches in Nepal, that they will be able to extend their love for their neighbours in this difficult time, and that through their actions and words others might ask the reason for the hope they have.

St. George's Hurstville Nepali Church

Sovereign Lord and heavenly Father, in whose hands are life and death, Our hearts ache for the families waiting for news of loved ones caught in the Nepal flash floods.

Preserve life, O Lord. May many of the missing be found safe and returned to their homes. Grant strength, endurance and skill to emergency workers and search teams. May they reach many who are still alive.

On tonight! Not too late to come along.

The world tells us success is measured by a paycheck, a job title, or the car you drive. But recent world events and real life show us that easily crumbles.

Come enjoy a good feed with other men as we cut through the noise of the world and discover what God truly calls successful.

🥳🎶🪇🎨Join us for Playtime! Mondays 9:30-11am at St Barnabas Fairfield.

This term we are learning about the amazing bodies God has given us! 😍🤸‍♀️

All little ones 0-6 and their parents or carers are welcome to come along. Each week we spend time playing with toys, singing songs and dancing together, and reading a story.

During music time we love watching parents / carers participate and interact with their children to build language and motor skills, and encourage positive relationships. We have a fenced outdoor playground and large grassy area for use when weather permits.

Playtime is free!
