❤️ Happy Mother’s Day! ❤️

We are thankful for all the women in our church. We thank God for the multitude of ways they serve and care for their families and friends, and how they seek to live for Jesus. We hope you enjoyed the little sweet treat.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Today we will be praying this prayer for Mother’s Day across our congregations, knowing it can be a day of mixed emotions for many:

Loving God, we thank you for the love of the mothers you have given us, for their selflessness and care, for their patience, compassion and strength. May we see your loving hand sustaining and guiding them. Please sustain all those in care-giving roles, those who are either biological mothers or spiritual mothers or aunties or grandmothers, as they seek to show the love of the Lord Jesus to those they care for.

Loving Father, we bring before you those of us for whom this day is hard. We pray for those who are tired, stressed or depressed, for those whose children have physical or intellectual disabilities, for those who raise children on their own, for those who have lost a child, for those who care for the children of others, for those who have painful memories or are estranged from their mothers, for those who have recently lost their mothers, for those who never knew their mothers, for those whose children are separated from them by distance or broken relationship, and for those whose desire to be a mother has not been fulfilled. Help them to bring their griefs to you and to know the comfort of your love.

For all of us, help us to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for us, and to be filled with this love, so that all of our trust, hope and peace would be in your Son our Lord Jesus. Bless all mothers, that their love may be deep and tender, and that they may lead their children to know you, living not for themselves, but for Jesus and for others. We pray knowing your goodness, care and compassion.

In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour,
Amen

A Prayer for Anzac Day
O God, our ruler and guide, in whose hands are the destinies of this and every nation, we give you thanks for the freedoms we enjoy in this land and for those who laid down their lives to defend them. We pray that we and all the people of Australia, gratefully remembering their courage and their sacrifice, may have the grace to live in a spirit of justice, of generosity, and of peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Today we remember the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus on the cross as had been foretold many years before by the prophet Isaiah.

By his death and resurrection we have been made clean and can be in relationship with God again. That is why today is called Good Friday!

“Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Come join us for Easter!

Jesus made huge claims about who he was and what he has come to do. We think they're worth investigating!

Everyone is welcome. We also livestream on our Youtube page if you'd like to check out church that way before joining us in person.

"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” - John 11:25-26

🌿 Happy Palm Sunday!

“The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the c**t and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬
