In all acceptance of and submission to the will of God and in the hope of the final resurrection, the servant of God

Jorhn Hazari, brother of our brother in Christ Joseph Hazari,

has fallen asleep in the Lord in Melbourne.

On behalf of our Eparch, Most Rev. Robert Rabbat and on behalf of Fr Collin Nunis and of Fr Paul Sayegh, and on behalf of myself, Rev. Fr. Jobran Abou Saba, St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Parish Priest, and on behalf of Deacon Maurice and our Chouerite Sisters, Sister Christiane and Sister Joumana, St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Parish Council, the Stewards and all members of the various Committees of the Parish, we offer our condolences to his family in Australia, homeland and overseas including his brother Joseph Hazari and family.

*** May the Lord God grant rest to the soul of the departed John in His heavenly mansions, and comfort and long life to you all ***

The funeral will take place on Tuesday 16th of June at 11:30am at St Damian’s Catholic Church, 5 Settlement Road, Bundoora. Following the Church service, the burial will take place in Northern Memorial Park, 56 Box Forest Road, Glenroy at 2:00pm. After the burial please join the family for a time of sharing and remembrance in the Eden.

Christ is Risen, He is Truly Risen. Tomorrow morning following the 11am Liturgy we will have the 40 day memorial service for our brother in Christ Francois Nahas.

My beloved sons and daughters of the Parish of Saint Joseph, Fairfield.
“Christ, having loved His own, loved them until the end, and gave them His Body and His Blood as food and drink. Wherefore, let us offer them our adoration and say with fear: “Glory to Your presence, O Christ, glory to Your compassion، glory to Your condescension, for You alone are the Lover of Mankind.”
It is my pleasure and joy to extend to you a loving invitation to participate in the Holy Liturgy of the Feast of the Divine Body, on Thursday evening, June 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
It is a blessed occasion in which we long to gather around the Lord’s table, where we are renewed in faith and experience the depth of His living presence among us, in a fellowship of prayer and love that brings hearts together around a great mystery of our salvation.
Your presence completes the joy of this feast and makes the gathering a living testimony to our unity and shared faith.
We look forward to welcoming you with great joy and sincere love.

أحبائي أبناء وبنات رعيّة القدّيس يوسف فارفيلد.
إِنَّ المسيحَ إِذْ أَحبَّ خاصَّتَهُ وإِلى الغايةِ أَحَبَّهُم. مَنَحهُم جسَدَهُ ودَمَهُ مأْكلًا ومَشربًا. فنحنُ الآنَ نَسجدُ لهُما بوقارٍ مُكَرِّمين. ونهتِفُ إِليهِ بورعٍ قائِلين: " أَلمجدُ لحضورِكَ، أَيُّها المسيح. أَلمجدُ لِحُنُوِّكَ، أَلمجدُ لتنازُلِكَ. يا مُحِبَّ البشر وحدك".
يسرّني ويفرح قلبي أن أوجّه إليكم دعوة محبّة ومشاركة في قدّاس عيد الجسد الإلهي، وذلك مساء يوم الخميس القادم الواقع فيه 4 حزيران 2026، عند الساعة السادسة مساءً.
إنها مناسبة مباركة نتوق فيها أن نلتقي حول مائدة الرب، حيث نتجدّد في الإيمان ونختبر عمق حضوره الحيّ بيننا، في شركة صلاة ومحبة تجمع القلوب حول سرّ عظيم من أسرار خلاصنا.
