🌟🙏 We warmly invite everyone to join us for a Fire Puja with Gyumed Geshes for Removal of Obstacles.

Tuesday 8 September 10am -
Wednesday 9 September 4pm.

The Fire Puja is a deeply purifying and transformative ritual, traditionally performed to remove obstacles, support healing, cleanse negativity, and restore balance and harmony. This powerful practice is offered for the benefit of our families, friends, and wider community, as well as for the healing and restoration of our natural world during these challenging times.

For two days, the Gyumed Geshes from India will guide us in this profound and beneficial practice, creating an opportunity to come together in prayer and intention for healing, peace, and the restoration of harmony and equilibrium.
The ceremony will be held 10:00 am to 4:00pm on both Tuesday, 8 September, and Wednesday, 9 September with a break for lunch. 🌟🙏

Paws for thought: Big Love Festival welcomes two-legged and four-legged visitors

A Sunshine Coast festival is taking inclusivity to a new level, inviting visitors to bring their four-legged family members along for a special daily animal blessing.

Big Love Festival will welcome people, and pets, to Chenrezig Institute at Eudlo from 11–13 September 2026 for three days of Tibetan culture, live music, food, family activities and hands-on experiences.

Chenrezig Institute Director Calvin Yu said the animal blessing reflected the festival’s spirit of compassion and its belief that every member of the family should feel welcome.

“Big Love Festival is for everyone, whether they come with children, friends, grandparents or their much-loved pets,” Mr Yu said.

“The animal blessing is a joyful expression of compassion for all living beings and gives visitors an experience they are unlikely to find at another festival.”

The festival’s inclusive approach extends to free entry for everyone under 18, a dedicated Dharma Kids Zone for children aged five to 13, and one meal included for each day of admission.

Visitors can also experience the powerful Lion’s Roar chanting of the Gyumed Ta***ic Monastery monks, watch an intricate Sand Mandala take shape and enjoy live performances from Tenzin Choegyal, Andrea Kirwin and Josh Lovegrove.

The program will include Tibetan music and dance, interactive art, creative workshops, talks, yoga, meditation and breathwork, alongside vegetarian world cuisine, fresh chai and ethical market stalls.

“No knowledge of Buddhism or previous experience with meditation is needed,” Mr Yu said.

“People can come for the music, bring the children for a creative activity, enjoy a meal or have their dog blessed. It is an easy and welcoming way to experience Tibetan culture and try something different.”

Organisers have also reduced ticket prices compared with previous years in recognition of cost-of-living pressures. A three-day pass costs $125 and includes three meals, while a $50 day pass includes one meal. People under 18 attend free.

Big Love Festival will be held at Chenrezig Institute, Eudlo, from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September 2026.

Tickets are available at chenrezig.com.au/biglovefestival .

🙏 A Special Blessing & Consecration Ceremony 🙏

Chenrezig Art Studio is honoured to welcome visiting Geshes from Gyudme Ta***ic College next Friday (September 4th) for a special ceremony of blessing and consecration.

This offers a rare opportunity for practitioners and anyone with sacred objects to bring their statues, stupas, tsa tsas, or other items to be blessed and filled according to Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

The consecration and filling of sacred objects is a meaningful practice, helping to establish them as sacred supports for practice, devotion and connection with the Dharma.

If you have an item that you would like to have blessed and filled, we warmly invite you to take part in this auspicious occasion. 🙏🪷

Please email Chenrezig Art Studio to register and let us know what you would like to bring. The ceremony time will be confirmed once your booking is received.

✨ Torma Making Workshop with the Gyudmed Geshes ✨

Join us for a rare and special opportunity to learn the traditional art of Torma making with visiting Gyudmed Geshes from India.

Tormas are sacred offerings, traditionally sculpted from flour and butter and created as expressions of devotion and generosity to enlightened beings, deities and protectors.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to create Chenrezig and Yamantaka Tormas, dedicated to:

🙏 Chenrezig – the Buddha of Compassion
⚡ Yamantaka – a powerful wrathful manifestation of enlightened wisdom and compassionate activity

This is a beautiful opportunity to connect with Tibetan Buddhist art, ritual and wisdom in a creative and meditative setting, guided by highly trained monastics from the Gyudmed Ta***ic University in southern India.
