The Solemnity of Sts Peter and Paul, the Apostles is on Saturday 29 June.

This coming weekend 29/30 June, we will celebrate the Feast of Sts Peter and Paul in all the Masses to mark the Parish Feast Day. Bishop Terry Curtin, Auxiliary Bishop for the Northern Region will celebrate the 10.30am Mass on Sunday.

Parishioners are warmly invited to join a BBQ at 11.30am following the 10.30 Mass to celebrate the Parish Feast Day of St Peter.

You are all invited to a night of worship and fellowship led by our gifted St Peter’s Youth Band. Our seminarian Rhys Lowther will be the guest speaker. The evening provides an opportunity to deepen our relationship with the Lord and to connect with other people in the parish and beyond. You are most welcome!

The hidden love of God is revealed most tangibly and fully in the person of Jesus. He shows compassion for all even to those we might find difficult to love. His love for others is inclusive, unconditional and extravagant. Jesus is able to do so because he has a heart that is completely filled with the love of God.

The love of God is immeasurable. Only in getting to know Jesus and learning to love those around us that we might grasp “the breadth and length, the height and depth” (Ephesians 3:18) of God’s love for us.

May God fill our hearts with his love so that we can love the unloved, the unlovely and the unlovable just as Jesus does.

The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is tomorrow Friday 7 June.

This Sunday we in Australia are celebrating Mother's Day. Let this prayer be said for our Mothers.

"Loving God,
as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children,
so you watch over your Church.
Bless these women,
that they may be strengthened as Christian mothers.
Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.
Grant that we, their sons and daughters,
may honour them always
with a spirit of profound respect.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

This coming Weekend is a very special Weekend for St. Peter's Epping Family as we welcome Fr. Brian Muling, our new assistant priest and congratulate the children of Parish Schools; St Peter's, St Mary of the Cross and Mary Glowrey, receiving the First Holy Communion.

May the Risen Lord who is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIGHT bless us lead us in unity, service and love.

Dear Friends,
4th Sunday of Easter is commonly known as Good Shepherd Sunday the day we are asked to pray especially for having more shepherds and pastors to serve in the vineyards of the Church.
Let us, as baptised person, also remind ourselves of our vocation to serve others in our own community that we can grow together in as the whole.

The two disciples on the road to Emmaus recognised Jesus in the breaking of the bread. Alleluia.
May we recognise Him in the same way as we come to celebrate the the Holy Eucharist at this Sunday, especially in our brothers and sisters.

This Second Sunday of Easter (Divine Merry Sunday) we always have a very well known story of Doubting Thomas. It's embarrassing to doubt but also human. Do let's pray that God will help us to get over those parts of us that doubt.
