There is no better way to end the month of May, than with the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians! Thank you Sr Louise McKeogh for a wonderful Salesian Night, taking us even deeper into the profound connection between the Salesians and Our Lady Help of Christians, all beautifully linked to the prophetic dream experienced by St John Bosco as a 9 year old boy - a dream that kept recurring throughout his life, and the reason for the exquisite painting of Our Lady Help of Christians in the amazing Basilica in Valdocco.

Our Lady is never indifferent to our needs, just like at the Wedding at Cana, she saw the need and acted upon it by directing the servants to her son, Jesus.

May we always choose to: Look - Listen - Choose - Act in the presence of a person in need.

Patron Saint of Laughter and Joy

St. Philip Neri was born in Florence, Italy on July 22, 1515. He lived a long, fruitful and holy life that ended May 25, 1595. At a time when Rome struggled with corruption, division, and spiritual decline, Philip brought people back to God through kindness, humour, and authentic joy. He is known as the "Apostle of Rome."

May this Feast be a time of renewal, to know that our Blessed Mother is our mother and is journeying always with us. So let us take courage and rejoice in this wonderful gift that Jesus gave us when He was on the Cross.

The Pentecost celebration continued at St John Bosco Parish with the College Family Mass led by Year 8 and First Holy Communion Focus Session. What a wonderful CONNECTION time to end the Easter season with.

A special THANK YOU to the Holy Spirit Prayer group who embellish the church and hosted a lovely morning tea after the morning Masses. Also, to Life group who hosted a sausage sizzle at 5 pm Mass. Thank you to the Priests, Acolytes, Altar Server Crew, Musicians, Collectors, Readers and all of the parishioners who make our beloved parish alive in His Spirit.
