Plus you get to hang out with some very lovely people, join in some games, trivia, bingo and all sorts of silly shenanigans, plus feel supported and cared for by a very genuine community.

The Golden Hour Cafe is a safe and supportive space for those with dementia and their carers.

It’s held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Emerald RSL in partnership with Rotary Club of Emerald & District and in association Umbrella Dementia Cafes.

Please speak to Anne Clowes if you’d like to find out more - or come along between 10am-12pm to check us out in person.

We currently have space for a few more couples.

Pasta and Poetry 🍝

How wonderful is spoken word for conveying so much of the human experience! A huge thank you to Heather and Dionyy for sharing some of their original work, they were beautiful, painful and poignant. The other poem was titled Wonderful by wordsmith Harry Baker.

Thanks so much to Mary from the St Luke’s Food Store for coming and sharing about all the wonderful work that is happening in this space.

Mary is one of the most generous and joy filled people you’re ever likely to meet! With her infectious laughter and smile, she faithfully serves others and deeply loves and cares for the people she meets at the food store. Mary is genuine, authentic and has a great compassion for others in her heart, which she just radiates!!

If you’d like to find out more, or would like to volunteer at the food store and cafe, or would like to find out about other ways to support the food store, please head down to St Luke’s Cockatoo on a Monday morning at 10am.

And if you’d like to help out at Ignite, there are many different things to do and we always love an extra set of hands. We secretly think the kitchen helpers have the most fun of anyone!

What a wonderful way to commission Jenny as our Children’s and Families Minister. We can’t wait to see what she brings to this role!

Who knew she was a race car driver, Hollywood actor and an astronaut?! 🤭😂

Thanks also to Hollie who so faithfully served in this ministry up until now, and for your support of Jenny.

How fun was guess the animal sound when Kate goes camping! We have some weird and wonderful creatures in Australia!!

The ZOE Australia Justice Walk 2026.

Sunshine, blue skies and a beautiful day at Brighton Beach for the Justice Walk - did you know that every step helps raise awareness and vital funds to support ZOE Australia's fight against child trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery in Australia and overseas?

And Ken and Jenny donated 100% of their absolutely delicious bubble waffle profits to this worthy cause.

If you’d like to find out more or make a donation, please check out ZOE Australia’s socials and website or speak to Jenny. Over $22K has been raised so far, but every dollar counts to ending child exploitation and trafficking.

The Gathering 🫶🏻

Walk, run, skip, dance, sit, stand….

…we don’t mind. But we do love to see you!

Come and join us each Monday night in term 4 from 6pm for dinner and worship as we explore our God of Wonders.

Last night was wonderful to see so many people gather around the piano to share with us their gifts of singing, music, friendship and fellowship.
